Hello, My name is Josh Fletcher and I represent York City Football Club's unofficial Red & Blue Net website http://www.yorkcityfc.com.

The website is in the process of a rebuilding program. We are using a questionaare to help us with our away travel section. If you could please help us with our away travel section then I would be eternally grateful. Here are the questions

What are the admission prices for away fans (if games are priced differently by category then please provide the prices that will apply to York City)

Can you provide directions to the football ground (and away turnstiles, if appropriate) from the nearest rail station? If too far to walk, is there a bus? are taxis readily available?

What is the food at the ground like, and do you have any example prices?

Are away fans welcome in your social club before/after the game? Is hot food available in the social club?

Can you recommend anywhere closeby to eat/drink before the game?

Please can anyone reply on this thread or alternativley PM me

Thanks

Josh Fletcher

You are welcome in the cludhouse if the game is not segregated. However, if it is there is now an away bar, with sky sports and a live feed to the game. local pubs are the Admiral jellicoe, and the windjammer. The jelly is about a 5 min walk, the jammer a 10-15min walk along the sea front, though neither sell food. Other pubs are in the town centre, a 5-10 min drive, depending on traffic. The Haystack or the Oysterfleet being the best bet for meals. Although the Haystack is over 18's only. usual chip shops, kebaby's KFC etc. in the town centre and along the main road to the ground. Food in the ground is rolls and pies in the clubhouse(unsegregated games) or the usual burgers, chips, bacon rolls etc. around the £2.50 mark. Hope this is some help Josh. Enjoy your visit, but not too much <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
