registered user's only?

After speaking to some Margate fans outside of this forum and after seeing some of the more recent messages on the forum, Ive changed my mind over the registered users issue. Its getting ridiculous now. The fans have tried to be reasonable and anonymus posters and registered users have argued here on this forum. Its getting to a stage where something has to be done.

 

I say make it registered only. It may be an inconvenience to genuine fans who post anonymously but the fans shouldnt have to put up with people posting only to wind things up. If they register and cause trouble again, the moderators and administrators have my backing to ban them.

With regards to the poll, I believe it does it via IP address, so those on dial up connections, and in some cases broadband, when you connect it will assign your IP from a pool of numbers. If that IP has already registered a vote on here before you in the current poll, the forum will think you've already voted. (at least I think that's the 'flaw')

 

Particularly bad for AOL users.
