CITY 3-0 ENFIELD TOWN

All goals in the second half

1st goal - own goal I think.

2nd goal - Simon Martin

3rd Goal - Dean Cracknell

I may be wrong - I had had a few pints before the game!

Not the best game of football I've ever seen. I thought Enfield did a good job at closing us down and stopping us from playing. All goals from set pieces - I think!

Definitely an own goal. Goals on 62,73 and 90. Don't know the attendance.

For three quarters of this game, it was a continuation of Friday night. I'm just glad I don't have to watch ETFC every week with their spoiling tactics. They tried their level best to get Nick Roddis(still suffering from about a dozen stitches in his leg from Friday) sent off all night. Deliberate late tackles, niggly stuff on and off the ball. Not pretty to watch. The language and intimidation towards officials from their bench was disgusting and the behaviour from some (and I do say some) of their fans a disgrace. A pity really, since the genuine supporters that I spoke to were really great. The officials were poor again just as they were on Friday. I will be interested too see if their reporter is as biased in his report this time as he was last, on their website and in the NLP.

A night to forget but at least we are into the 3RQ. Let's look forward to a better game on Saturday.

No way were we the bad boys. Both sides fought hard and the ref didn't maintain any decent authority. Your number 6 should have been sent off. He had already been booked and then blatantly threw the ball away when a decision didn't go his way. He should have been booked again later on. I don't agree with some of the Town fans reaction regarding Kojo being brought down in the box towards the end of the game. You keeper, the defender and Kojo all contested the ball and no foul was committed althogh he did come off worse.

Agree about our bench. They are becoming infamous for their bad language and constant sniping at officials and our board need to address this. As for the few mindless fools within our ranks, well, I've said my piece about them on other threads.

Good luck in the next round.

I must admit the ref was terrible in both games. Is it normal that the same person refs the replay? He booked Tom Davies last night for stopping a free kick from being taken even though he was walking away from the ball, and was hit on the back when the Enfield player kicked it. As far as I could see he was trying to get away to let the free kick be taken! Hopefully we won't get lumbered with this donkey again - rubbish.

The booking for not retreating when a free kick is to be taken was quite correct. It does not matter what direction the player was walking or where the ball hit him when the free kick was taken. A free kick is given you get out of the way. Think about it the ref was on the spot when the free kick was given but had taken a position some 20 yards or so away from where the free kick was to be taken. How is it a ref can move 20 yards or so when a St Albans player cant move 20 feet.

As for the refs other decisions. No elbow seen against Paul Campbell. Paul Campbell told to leave the pitch when he had received no treatment! John Morgan pushed off the ball when the player made no attempt at a tackle.

Why is it fans only ever see one side of a game.

And yes it is common that the same ref is appointed for replays.

And that free kick comment had just proved that women know nothing about football and should be gagged!
The bloke kicked it straight at his back, the [****!!****]!

I didn't see the incident but if Makelele was facing the free kick and ten yards away I would have thought he would have been grateful for the ball being aimed at him. If he was not ten yards away then next time, if he was hurt, he will be.

There is absolutely no excuse. A free kick is given you get out of the way or you may find the ball is aimed at you. How long does it take to get 10 yards away. I would suggest around a second.

Regards
