Scott Ward picked ahead of Phil Smith for Crawley tonight.!!

 

Always thought he was a better goalie than many supporters at mfc gave him credit for.

He may be the only keeper they have left thats fit.

He certainly didnt show good form here so fans have every right to put him down.

I think he may have got in above Smith because Crawley are bottom of the league.

 

Has Smith's kicking improved?

I think P.Smith has been dropped after two average games.

 

Was Ward at fault for the goals conceded early part of last season or was it the poor defending in front of him?

Anyway, i think we generally agree that we have stabilized the goalkeeping postion this season and the defence is probably better aswell,as vitally is the midfield protecting the defence,so we have moved on to better things

An attacking midfield might help us win games. They dont have to be at the back all the time. They do need to get forward more quickly than they are doing. Sacha is a typical example of how a midfield player should play. Up & back and at speed.

Still this digresses from the origin of this thread.
