Abuse on forum today - register only

Is it just me or are the anons getting very arrogant? 90% of them seem to be halfwits and try winding the registered users up on here. Time to go register only NOW.

There are some people who are fans of Margate but cant register for whatever reason. Making it register only might get them in trouble if, for example, they post from work.

 

Sadly the only thing we can do is just try and put up with it. Its a ridiculous situation where we have to just let these people slag us off hiding behind anonimity, but thats the way it is.

People can log in from work without a problem. If they can get onto the forum and post without getting into trouble they can take 10 seconds extra to log in if it means we have a better forum. I think it is likely to put more people off if we have a load of crap on the forum every time we look at it. Time to act.

Only JJ got some kind of abuse today. All the other abuse was aimed at the anons so its fair to say JJ was the instigator of this thread.Besides its annons that are getting the abuse so it should be those registered that should change surely.

It does seem like a registered person is having a go back here but not using his normal name and not logging in so that alone sets a bad example to those others who are registered. He's no different to the annons by doing this!

I dont register and I dont abuse others. We are not all the same, us unregistered. Besides if I remember rightly this was brought up a while ago and it was dismissed out of hand so theres really no need to talk of this happening as it surely wont.

Thats the problem, whether you are being nice or not, we can read things wrong on occassions. And since we dont know whos actually saying what, we cant differentiate. All the same, it doesnt hurt to make sure you arent saying anything that might cause trouble or wind up someone inadvertantly.

I choose not to thats why. But we dont have to be sheep and follow others just to be nice. We should be able to express our opinions even if they are not agreed by others. Thats when the abuse comes into it, when others dont agree.

Not really...the margate and re:margate thread was abuse, not constructive at all. Many anonymous posters here abuse the right to free speech and start slagging off teams. It isnt constructive.
