Two average sides slugging it out in the vain hope a football match might break out. We generally bossed proceedings but have no cutting edge. The only action of note in the first half was Brightley's superb save. Second half saw Folkestone have thier first period of any pressure, and we all knew it was coming, and it did on 71 minutes. Cousins was red carded near the end for swinging a punch at thier defender. Parker played an impressive debut. Thier keeper had one shot to save. Win the league, your 'aving a laugh.

Oh yeh and why did we play a midfielder at right back, when theres one on the bench?

and why was a forward played at right midfield when there was one on the bench?

All very puzzling!

Yet another miserable trip to Folkestone. Never looked like scoring. Never looked like even getting close to scoring. Folkestone were nothing special but they were definately the better team on the night, and had the best chances. We were really poor. And what is it with Folkestone, why cant we score against them?

Parker had a very good debut, probably the best player in our side tonight. Its got to get a hell of a lot better for Saturday or were going to get ripped apart.

That is a very accurate summary in my view. Our distribution both from the back and from corners and free kicks was dreadful. How about a bit of zip rather than a hopeful float. It is difficult to deny the arguement that we are anything other than an average side presently.

I'm afraid I can't agree with those that said that Folkestone were the better side, they were crap and we should have beaten them. There were a few occasions when we passed the ball and had them running but then it was back to the high ball. My neck is sore from following all those high balls and think Manston stopped planes flying over as it was dangerous. To everyones surprise they had 2 ‘man of the match’ awards, I think it was give to the players that made their 2 passes in the whole game.

A very dissapointing night for the few faithful who travelled. After Saturday we expected the team to continue with their impressive performance but they reverted to the performance of the previous games. I'm also disappointed with the bench who do not try and change it, one sub last night. Where was Tom Poole to put a bit sparkle into the attack. Perhaps we should give the likes of Tom Poole and Simmo a chance as some of the others are not cutting the mustard on a regular basis.

I believe Tom Poole is out on loan at Wivenhoe at the moment.

with regards to last night there is very little to be said. after roughly 20 mins of the game i thought i was watching the exact same game as the one that was postponed. neither team got a real grip on the game and it boiled down to who really wanted it the most on the night.

Parker was excellent in my opinion, looked like a real driving force from the centre of midfield.

last night we really lacked any cutting edge and when we did end up in promising attacking positions the final ball was terrible. corners and throw-ins appear to be a waste of time at the moment, leon continually failed to beat the first man at a corner - doing it once is excusable but not all evening - when we won a corner the ref might as well have given a goal kick because we certainly werent going to create anything from it.

Lastly thanks to the kind hospitality shown by folkestone who gave away some free food to our away fans - a kind gesture that went down well (literally!)

Hmm, i didnt get any free food. I hate Folkestone. The double burger was quite tasty though. I agree about the quality of crosses. Was very poor from corners, and it has been pretty poor all season both from set pieces and open play. Danny Hocktons skied free kick in the first half pretty much sums up our set piece taking at the moment.
