famoly tickets

i would like to know why i cant get a family ticket anymore.i went to the first home matches with my kids (14 and 15)and it cost us a tenner to get into the game.we came on saturday only to be told sorry no family tickets any more so it would cost me 5 quid each for the boys and 8 for me.so we went to the cinema instead.i think its totally wrong to expect schoolkids to pay a fiver for entrance to this level of football.i noticed that under 11 is a pound whats the difference between 11 and 16 they are still kids at school.until this is rectified i shall not go again as it is a ripoff of kids and parents

Have you contacted the club with these comments? They are the ones you should be talking to.However you make a valid point and losing fans by whatever means should be addressed. We want MORE fans through the turnstyles not less.Even if it means forsaking a few quid.

Does it say on the front that you can buy family tickets? I thought there was a sign at the turnstiles directing family tickets...if I remember correctly its the one on the far left. Although to be honest the people on the turnstiles dont know whos supposed to go through which turnstiles!

Ill remember too....theyll be a fight amongst us there to be the first to ask <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> It seems a bad decision to do that. How many clubs dont do family tickets/deals? We need the numbers....we dont want to have attendance figures like Ramsgate! (j/k)

This seems like a really strange thing to do. If it's to save money - why? Surely we should be looking to get the younger fans interested and many of them will come with their parents. Parents then go in the bar etc. No point in going for cheap under 11s and then leaving a gap for families.

If it's because of complaints about some of the youngsters hanging yound by the main stand then I'd bet that most or all of these get in as under 11s even if they are 12/13/14. So the family ticket would not contribute a lot towards the groups of kids in the ground. It's good to see them interested anyway - at least it's more money and Margate FC is not 'uncool' anymore.

What self-respecting football club that calls itself a "family club" can cancel family tickets. This is something that urgently needs to be sorted IMO.

A lot of things are being done very well by the club but this is a bit of a shocker.
