Are you sure that the ground wasn't on park land?

There are plenty of incidents where appeals get rulings overturned and where appeals to a higher court get changes to conditions.

Well no doubt the land was originally part of the park, or at least the parcel of land that subsequently became the park. What I meant was, as far as I recall Clarence Park (the stadium) is actually inside the present park, i.e. has park all around it, whereas Southbury Road (the stadium) was on the edge, with park only on two sides.

 

Of course applicants can appeal against planning decisions, but you have to make the aplication first!
