Barnet match report

Recommended Posts

''Gravesend took the lead in the 20th minute with their first shot on goal. A throw in on the left was headed on, and with one sweeping ball, the ball found itself to Tostao Kwashi on the right wing who bizarrely found himself with a full 20 yards of space ahead of him. The winger ran into the box before coolly slotting home past Harrison to give Gravesend the lead. It was poor goal to let in from a defensive point of view, as it wasn't created by good build up play by Gravesend, but by an innocuous ball knocked on from a throw in which had found its way to the winger who was completely unmarked. ''

AND THERE'S WAS ME THINKING WE HAD MADE A CROSS FIELD PASS TO THE MAN IN SPACE!

Another opposition's match report full of excuses of why their team lost, rather than accepting we were the better team.

This is the description of the same goal from the excellent Pyramid Portal Match Report:

Quote:

The two wingers combined well for Gravesend’s opening goal on 20 minutes. An intelligent diagonal ball from Jackson on the left found Kwashi running onto it in space on the right flank, and he then had time to slot coolly past the exposed keeper via the left hand post.

And as our normally efficient Webmaster has ,unusually for him, omitted it, heres the link to that report :-

Apologies Dave - links are not highlighted very well on the board - they are slightly greyer in colour on my screen than the rest of the words, but it isnt obvious that they are the link.

Now you have said, however, I can see the words "Pyramid Portal" are greyer than the rest and are the link. Perhaps links should be highlighted better on the board?

( And thats not a criticism of the system, just a comment that links arent easily spotted unless you know they are there)

Perhaps you could experiment with some of the other colour schemes that are available through your profile. Having said that, I agree that it is not the best contrast in world.

Hopefully this extends as far as the opposing team as well and there'll be marking confusion in every game until the end of the season.
