FA Cup

Lots of talk at the moment about falling Premiership gates. So what does the true football fan do on a Saturday afternoon? Well, if you support Slough it seems you're quite happy to drive 150 miles into darkest Norfolk on the road to Wembley.

Every person who made that journey is a credit to Slough Town. It was a lively, colourful afternoon, with both teams committed (no bookings?) and both sets of fans enjoying the entertainment and the late summer sunshine.

I enjoyed chatting to the Slough supporters - I think some were suprised at the quality of fottball from the Ridgeons League.

For Slough, No 9. No 11 & the keeper impressed, and I will keep a look out for their results this season. Hope everyone comes back to Norfolk soon.

Good luck in the next round. I'll have some highlights available from the match today at some stage this weekend, and given the result, a few may be interested in the match DVD?

Best team won today, and could have been by a lot more. Best of luck with the rest of the season.

Just to echo Wroxham fans comments, your supporters were a real credit to your club and were very gracious in defeat - hopefully our two sides will meet again soon.

Gary, if you let me know the details of the DVD when it's ready I'll put something on our website and ask around in the clubhouse to gage interest...

All the best for the rest of the season - I'll also be keeping an eye on your results.

Matt

As Beaconsfield SYCOB and Flackwell Heath both got results in the FA Cup there in the previous two seasons I dont really think you can use that one! Time to concentrate on the League as they say!

The FA Cup is over with for us this season... but there's still the Trophy to look forward to, as well as the challenge of trying to retain the League Cup. Oh yeah, and there's a league to try and stay in as well <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And at present, we now have no match on the 8th as Folkestone are still in the FA Cup.

Hopefully either Staines or Redbridge will lose in their replays (especially the latter) so we can move a Tuesday fixture to that Saturday. Don't really fancy Redbridge away on a Tuesday night. Staines fixture won't make any difference as it's at home and Staines won't bring many regardless of when it is played.

having spent the week end in Norfolk and attending the match had a great week end ! The best team on the day won the game, yes dissapointed but Wroxham did they job on us and turned the game to a shock win for them ! They deserved it...our boys were a little lost in the fens..but we will behind them 100 % for the next match..

Good luck Wroxham... a lovely part of the world !
