First of all well done to Wroxham - fully deserved win. As a lot of people said first goal would be the team that won it and that's how it turns out.

Wroxham are a pretty good side I thought their captain (8) ran the midfield and their striker Adrian Coote (was he the one with Norwich as a youngster?) caused our defence all kinds of difficulties. Oh and yet again EVERYTHING went down the left attacking wise again - especially second half.

In defence I think we have problems. One clean sheet all season tells it all and our GA column is ridiculous. I know many people will say it's Saulsbury we are missing, but we lack any real pace at the back which Michael Murphy offered us last season. Ballard is yet to fully settle in and Avery looks so nervous at the moment for one reason or another. Maybe it's time to try 4-4-2 to try and stop the GA?

Still maintain Hodges and Seedel don't work well together as a partnership sadly. Two great players, but they both seem to go for the same balls and not read each other's play.

Midfield I think is not a problem. Were actually stronger than last season apart from the loss of Haddow as we have Alexis now so despite a poor showing from the midfield boys yesterday I think we are OK there. Defence and Hodgey and Seedel not working well together is my big worry.

Oh and a few of us stayed in Norwich overnight and we got the local rag called the 'Pink-un' - yes it sounds like a you know what magazine, but it's actually a local sports paper and they described it as a giantkilling in their headline. Hmm, have not seen our away form then!!

I did not think we actually played that badly. We did not pose much of an attacking threat and we largely restricted them to long range efforts. It always looked like it would take a bit of luck to break the deadlock and that came through a freakish bounce. Their second goal was a breakway and is just one of those things. That's not to take anything away from Wroxham who played very well. It was also good to see a set of players who took the banter well and joined in. That's how it should be.

Our problem at the moment is that in key areas the team seems to lack balance. The three centre halves don't appear to work the midfield three needs to be revised and I remain to be convinced that Hodgey and Seedel can play in the same team. Ho-hum.

Losing against certain teams (mentioning no names) is very gauling, against others who play well and are gracious in their victories is far more acceptable. Wroxham was one of those occasions when you walk away thinking "oh well, thats life". Harrogate Railway was another. But then thats probably only a female view.

Totally agree there Kay. Whilst I'm gutted about the result and performance we put in, I'm happy it's Wroxham and hope they do well in the next round against Northwood/Aylesbury. I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for their result and wishing them well as I did with the Railwaymen.

Unless someone associated with the home club submits a report, it's then up to the NLP to send someone to the game, which was unlikely - the Rigeons League doesn't have match reports in the paper - so a tiny round-up isn't surprising at all.
