Bottle Caps!

Shame we lost today, Gravesend were dominating most of the game and there were so many chances. It was kind of frustrating but Gravesend played well nonetheless. I'm sure they can beat FGR on Tuesday

Oh yeh, and I had a bottle of diet coke and one of the stewards wanted me to give them the cap. The dude next to me explained why.. but still, a bit stupid really. My coke went flat haha

They cannot do much with a flask of tea. If they take off the top, I would consider that damaging the contents, ie the tea would be spoilt and would a) ask for a written receipt for the top, should it not be returned and B) ask for compensation from the club as there are no warnings outside the ground requesting you NOT to bring such things into the ground.

the stewarding is over the top now its funny. you dont even see that done at manchester united where you cant stand there and you cant sit there. just go away theres not going to be any trouble between home fans. whats with the bloke in the suit bowling it round like he owns the place.

Yet again you've dived in without thinking. With the can't stand here can't stand there ect comment you fail to realise that these areas are to be used in the event of an emergency. If you have a problem with that talk to the health and safty authorities and possibly those who lost people at Hillsborough and Bradford. When I had a season ticket at another club you may have heard of (Sorry FF, Dave I had to bring them up to make this point) they also have yellow hatched areas and I used to often see people being moved out of the areas.

As for the guy that "bowls around the place acting like he owns it" I'd like you to see you say that to his face. If your talking about the guy I think your talking about small guy, short black hair then this is Steve he is a very nice bloke.

As for bottle tops theres no point blaming the club or the stewards send all your compliants to John Moules directly at the Conference or maybe even to Sven Goran Erikson, leader of the FA.

Bottle Cap removal is for the purpose of:

Not being able to throw a FULL bottle in anger and frustratement at a nearby Linesman, Referee or visiting player. Bearing in mind that an empty bottle would do less damage to target

Obviously it would still remain full lid on or off depending on the force or technique of throw but thats a risk that the FA take nowadays

Consider a medium arm fast cricket throw, if gripped at top of bottle neck and hurled at medium pace (ie: girly throw) the culprit would end up with Dr Pepper halfway up his/her arm and would look really stupid!

i dont know it just came up with it!

Mike It takes a bit more than that to get it to come out like that and you know it, and as for being the one that said it on here thats brave of you. At the end of the day the two guys in charge on match days are doing as per instructions from chris baker, and are keeping up with what chris started, some of the stewards may be young and a little over the top but given a little time they may get it right. The head steward/safety officer job is not a nice one, he's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesnt, from both sides( the spectators and the club)As for bottles and yellow boxes, the club do not make the rules but HAVE TO BE SEEN TO BE ENFORCING THEM, regardless weather we like it or not.
Also the no standing areas do go on at top clubs it is enforced up at spurs, your not allowed to stand within the view of the pitch apart from making your way to your seat.
Sure some of the rules are daft, sure we dont like them, but there is no need to keep bleating on about them.Moan about something more important in life other than yellow lines and bottle caps.

Whilst accepting your point that it's the law/rules whatever, and, also accepting that that the stewards & junior stewards are doing what they are asked of......that doesn't mean to say that the law is not an ass !!

Cannot common sense prevail ? or is that not an option ? ( I suspect it isn't !)......the little "raised" terrace at the Northfleet end is great....but....is flat...so if you get one or two people in front of you then, in order to see, you may have to put your heels on the step to gain a better view, whilst not going behind the dreaded blue rope.

Hopefully this will be a short term measure pending improvements/new stadium etc......but......it don't half p*ss me off !!

No doubt the PC brigade will slaughter me for daring to speak out against the "rules" !

I predict a riot, I predict a riot !

Cheers,
