Enfield Town 1 St Albans City 1

lovely stuff

Recommended Posts

Just goes to show how fast you've progressed, it's taken you 93 years to get just where you are in the conference.

As I said earlier you're just middling about in a go nowhere position in a mid or even lower table spot cos you dont have the will, wit or ambition to go any further.

And have you got £20, if your piggy banks anything like the ones my grandchildren have got then they dont hold £20

Just one question if you lot won anything, stop laughing at the back, where would you have the mini bus tour, the streets of Enfield, Brimsdown or Ware?

Dear me. This boy doesn't know much about us, does he. 7 (Seven) trophies in 4 years.Enfield Town are currently the ONLY non-league team to win major honours in EVERY year of their existance. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I've spotted a word there that I'm struggling with? major, just how many major trophies have you won in them 4 years, bearing in mind I'm deducting 1 trophy for every one that I don't regard as major, e.g Brimsdown Invitation Cup etc

Sorry Tokyo, thanks for taking the piss out my dyslexia, at least I don't cross the line <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Damn good job it doesn't stand in the way of me working the markets (financial, not Brick Lane) and my income potential

Actually Andy and I get on very well, although I don't see him too much as he's been based in Barcalona the past 4 years, he did however stay in my Chelsea penthouse during Queens Club. I flew out to see him play in Cincinnati in August and at a futures event in Cremona, Italy back in April

Put it this way Mug, they are all above the level of your Herts senior cup triumph!

OK, the only trophies above winning the county cup are FA Cup, FA Trophy (or FA Vase for the pub teams) and maybe, just maybe the league cup although I'd still debate that.
So can we list these acheivements please?

We didn't get thrown out, we withdrew as we didn't want to have to go to Borehamwood, some of the stuff you pick up there can be life threatening. And we didn't want to have to socialise with them arses from the Herts FA
Besides we won the "big" one last year - The Senior Cup
Charity Cup for Charity Cases!

1) Withdrew/thrown out - wording not relevant. What is relevant is that you are no longer in the competition because you couldn't raise a team. Has it occurred to you that whichever person at St. Albans brainwashed you into thinking you withdrew to avoid visiting Boreham Wood might just be trying to cover up the error of their ways having tried to arrange two games on the same day then finding they didn't have enough players to do it? No, I didn't think it would.

2) Boreham Wood is generally a better ground than St. Albans. Certainly it has a much better stand and a bigger, better bar/function facility.

3) The Herts FA only send one representative to the early rounds of their cup competitions so your point about having to socialise with them is largely redundant.

4) The Senior Cup may be bigger in terms of entries but the Charity Cup contains only the biggest non league sides in the county, making it a much harder competition to win as you are less likely to get "easy draws" all the way through.

5) If the Charity Cup is only for "charity cases" why have St. Albans played in it for so many years?

6) Is your view that the Senior Cup is the "big one" shared throughout the club? Is that why you struggled to make it to a mid-table position in the league last season?

Isn't it amazing how you can say so much by saying so little!

Yeah course you did, & today I jetted over to the states to spend the day shopping with my bird Rachel Stevens, before joining the mile high club on the way back in our private jet!

We are now back in our Chelsea penthouse waiting to see my 6th cousin twice removed Thierry Henry on match of the day!

Couldn't raise a team, do me a favour. Couldn't be arsed more like. St.Albans City do not pull out of things for not raising teams, they pull out because they have better things to do with their time like count money

2) Boreham Wood is generally a better ground than St. Albans. Certainly it has a much better stand and a bigger, better bar/function facility.

Good job the function room is bigger for all them crowds they get, obviously your idea of having fun at a function is to spend it in Borehamwood, in fact you probably live there

3) The Herts FA only send one representative to the early rounds of their cup competitions so your point about having to socialise with them is largely redundant.

Still one to many for my liking, some fellow took some fireworks to last seasons cup final with the express intention of burning down the County Ground but he was thwarted by undercover cops in blazers

4) The Senior Cup may be bigger in terms of entries but the Charity Cup contains only the biggest non league sides in the county, making it a much harder competition to win as you are less likely to get "easy draws" all the way through.

The Senior Cup has always been bigger, I remember the days when teams like you weren't even allowed to enter. We let you and the big teams into the Charity Cup so you get the fantastic payday against the giants of Hertfordshire like us and Ware. I thought Potters Bar was in North London anyway?

5) If the Charity Cup is only for "charity cases" why have St. Albans played in it for so many years?

For Charity purposes, the mighty saints roll into Potters bar Town, the floodlights, massive crowd, town buzzing, 4 plage pull outs in the local press, all for charity mate!!!

6) Is your view that the Senior Cup is the "big one" shared throughout the club? Is that why you struggled to make it to a mid-table position in the league last season?

One answer to that - Steve Castle. Anyway I'm not the one banging on about how great it is to be in the Charity Cup semi final

Isn't it amazing how you can say so much by saying so little!

Answered that as well mate

Erm!
You know I'm Scottish, we've establised that
Andy Murray has to have some family, it just so happens i'm part of it
You know I work in the City as I've just told you and you know how much people earn in the city so what is so laughable about a) having a penthouse when I deal in shares and B) having a member of my family stay with me <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Fk me, I only flew to Cincinnati, it's not like saying I flew to the moon <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Firstly you have my sympathy for being Scottish, im sorry to hear that, but then again think of me my 6th cousin twice removed is French!

You work in the City earning millions & choose to live in St. Albans, how strange, when Neverland is surely closer to your place of work than St. Albans? must be the sweaty in you coming out!!

St.Albans is where I was born (well the Bupa Hospital in Harpenden but we split hairs), all my friends and football team are here so I choose to live there, it only takes 19 mins to get to London whereas I'm informed it takes that long for a train to arrive at Brimsdown <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I also have my Chelsea penthouse if I choose to stay in London or happen to have guests from Japan over.

And yes I do own a third home in Sitges just outside Barcelona.

And for the record if I had to keep one, it'll be my house in St.Albans (I didn't really move out to 7 houses in Enfield, now that was bollox and far fetched.

Sorry, but where exactly in this thread do you see anyone "banging on" about being in the semi final. I mentioned the fact that we are in the semi (not the same as "banging on" about it) of a cup that you are no longer in due to off field matters as an example of your club's Herts County League attitude. (People in glasshouses, etc., etc.)

Not only do you have misconceptions about the football matches you watch (I refer you back to your comments about Friday's game), but you can't even interpret what you are reading properly!

That must be the St. Albans/Harpenden in Scotland I take it, as you are Scottish, or so you told us!

Anyway your shift at the London Colney McDonalds must be finishing soon & your Scottish Mum will be waiting outside so dont keep her waiting or she wont let you stay up late for the replay on Tuesday!
