I cannot agree with that PBT. The referee was a total disgrace. He lost control from the off and was the total reason for all the shenanigans which followed. He looked about 14.

Jim Cunneen's view of the match equates with mine. The spirit shown by ETFC was excellent but on chances created, the Saints should have wrapped up the game by half time. I can't believe they will miss as many on Tuesday. As for the EFM guy, he seems to be on another planet.

It will be interesting seeing how ETFC cope on the Saints carpet on Tuesday and also under decent floodlights.

City always had a great playing surface - assuming they still do, it will be very interesting to see how Town play.

You never know, it could help Town's passing game !

Still think our best chance of victory will be to run at their fragile back line. The 3, 5 and 6 were very shaky toward the end on Friday's game when Town went for it.

Great that Jim is/was confident.

If you look at League positions you have to take City as favorites.

The underdog usually only have one go at itand replays turn out as the form book.

BUT, there is no reasonwhy Jim can not wind up his side to "have a go".

Let's hope Town get some good vocal support. It is only up the road - so all Town supporters should be there.

Always be respectful to teams on the way up as, on tonight's performance, you are likely to meet them on your descent.

The day we have to play Waltham Stately Homes or Brimsdown Sports and Social Sqatters club on a regualr basis is the day I quit watching City and spend my wad on a Chelsea season ticket!

EFM - As far as I'm concerned from my neutral viewpoint, St. Albans started the physical stuff and Enfield Town were quite prepared to give you as good as you got. The referee was extremely patient and tried to give the game a chance, otherwise at least two St Albans players would have found his notebook much earlier in the game.

As for one shot one goal, I saw two very good chances in the first half alone. One excellent reflex save from your 'keeper and a powerful free header that would have given your 'keeper no chance if it had been just the other side of the post. The quality of the St. Albans finishing on the night was just plain awful.

I don't care if you are a neutral I'm not taking notice of somebody who follows a Herts County League side like Potters Bar Town

Our ground is like a bowling green, I think our players were just a little worried about running about too much as they might get their feet stuck in all the pot holes and turn a ankle.

Quote from Fridays Mercury before the match

"Jim Chandler is adamant his side can cause an upset. "I think we can spring a surprise" "We've had them watched and I'm not at all worried. If my players play to the best of their ability there's no reason why we can't progress into the next round.""

Now I know you're joking, i was talking to one of your directors before the game and he was cacking himself. And anybody that saw out 4-1 demolision of Dorechester last week would of come home and said "fk me, we have't a hope, unless we just kick them all over the park", actually I see where he was coming from now!

I shouldn't really take the piss as Enfeild are my local team, I sold my studio flat in Cottonmill, St.Albans and brought 7 houses on that new Southbury Road estate.

Basically Old Son....

Cut the continual crap and show a little bit of respect to fellow football Clubs and their supporters.

Should Town win on Tuesday....you will be a laughing stock.

Should City win...we will say well done and move on.

City have got this far since 1908

Town have got this far since 2001

Now push off.

Listen to you talking like you're a top professional club - a team just two leagues above ETFC.

It's not even as though you have more supporters then us.

It won't be long until we're playing each other on a regular basis - it could even be next season if things go well for us, and disastrously for you.

Keep mocking at your own peril, it will be delightful to see you crying should we knock seven bells out of City.

Nah Nah Na Nah Nah.

You'll be wanting to take your ball back next sonny.

By the way are St Albans on the way up or down the league ? or are they just middling through in the same old spot not going up or down as they have been for years.

Oh behave EFM or whatever stupid name is, your a right mug & your effort at winding us up is well below par to what we are use too.

Lets be honest you should have beat us tonight but for some of the poorest finishing ive seen in a long while.

As someone else said on this thread Johnny Morgan had your right back in his pocket all night & overall The Town wanted it more, even your keeper was fed up with your back fours attitude & performance on the night.

Cloggers??? 5 mins in & your defence were body checking Dean Greene & what about the two reckless challenges on our number 10 in the first half?

Mighty Saints? when was that then? Nice club mediocre side as I recall & it seems nothing much has changed.

Replay on Tuesday could prove intresting but I would expect the Saints finishing to be better if not you will be in for a bad evening, if that performance last night was on par for The Conference South then we will be climbing the leagues quicker than I anticipated.

Oh yeah, nice avatar????? and over 12000 posts Mmmmm.....speaks volumes!!

This EFM character knows so little about non-league football, that he thinks Enfiled Town play in the Essex senior league, and that Potters Bar playing in the Herts county league. As he probably knows full well, both teams play in the Southern league.

If Town go up this season and St Albans go down.We will be in the same league. Not such a big difference in the sides, mate.

How long before Town overtake St Albans in the pyramid?I reckon no more than 5 seasons.

PS.. We played Waltham Abbey in the last round of the FA cup.The rules are, that you have to play who you are drawn against.Just think, if they had beaten Town,EFM would have given up on the saints, and would know be saving up for his Chelsea ticket.

PPS..Town have never played Brimsdown in a competative match..EVER.

For your info, EFM, it is over 15 years since our first team last played a Herts County League match. Must be difficult to keep track of time if you are the sole inhabitant of your own personal village! Me thinks you need to start listening to the views of somebody, neutral or not, as your version of Friday night's events show that your own views aren't that reliable.

By the way, as you have brought up the subject of Hertfordshire, let's just break away from the FA Cup discussion for just a second to talk about the Herts Charity Cup. This is a competition for which Potters Bar Town are already in the semi final this season, whereas I seem to recall St. Albans City being thrown out for failing to raise a side; preferring instead to play a pre-season friendly on the same day as your arranged tie at Boreham Wood. Now, which club is showing a Herts County League attitude there then?

We didn't get thrown out, we withdrew as we didn't want to have to go to Borehamwood, some of the stuff you pick up there can be life threatening. And we didn't want to have to socialise with them arses from the Herts FA
Besides we won the "big" one last year - The Senior Cup
Charity Cup for Charity Cases!

Point one and two, won't happen

Point three, we wouldn't have to play Waltham Abbey as we would invoke the "St.Albans can do what they damn well like" rule, not quite sure why we didn't do it with you lot
