I was and it wasn't pretty, Enfields tactics were simple, just kick and kick and hack and hack, the ref totally lost the game and there must of been a good half dozen 20 man brawls.

 

Saying that they went down to 10 men in the 1st half and we really should of finished them off, we had enough good chances including hitting the bar.

 

We'll finish them off on Tuesday!

Think that's perhaps a touch harsh.

 

I'd agree we were - it has to be said unusually - physical, especially in the first half. But if we'd have tried to play you off the park from the start we'd have probably received a pasting.

 

Saying that, your boys were no saints (well they were, but they weren't, if you get what I mean...) but then again it depends which team you support as to how you view proceedings, that is football after all. The sending off was as clear as they come in my eyes, stupidity from a fairly intelligent bloke.

 

I actually thought we played some decent stuff in patches in the second half but a team at your level and in your form really should have had enough to put us out and I don't think you can blame our tactics entirely for their failure to do that. You were wasteful in front of goal and there was always a chance you'd concede a goal having not put yourselves out of sight.

 

I won't be confident on Tuesday night but we'll see. Looking forward to it.

Town had as many chances as St Albans, even though yours were slighly easier chances.Town are not known for being dirty or physical.The ref was very weak, and players from BOTH teams took advantage of that fact.

 

Yes, your players will be fired up for the return, and you'll probably have a different ref that will be more conjusive to favouring the bigger team,and you'll have home advantage,but we'll give you a game both physically and skill-wise on Tuesday.

 

We will have a couple of influential players unavailable tuesday,but as i said before, you'll still have to work hard to beat us.

From where I was watching BOTH sides dished it out. Your No3 should have been booked inside 5 mins.

The Ref let things go and he lost control. But don't put all the blame one way, after all, ETFC are only a Pub team playing in a Park, according to you and your supporters.

If we are that poor, how come we do it again on Tuesday.

As for our players being knackered on Tuesday, I though a number of yours didn't look they would last 90 minutes last night. How we laughed when your fella went down with cramp. And the way the two centre halfs were blowing towards the end would have given Hurricane Rita a run for her money!

You may well be right....but why won't the Town Manager also be "winding up" his Pub team.
What pressure is on City to win compared to the relaxed approach by Town, who are expected to come away 0 - 5 ( according to you anyway )

Elbowing the half way line may be against the rules in the lower divisons probably as you spend more time on the floor tripping up on your shoe laces and so forth, in the conference south the only elbowing outlawed is usually on a pleyer
