Barking 2-1 Slough Town

A) It was Cold

B) It's a difficult place to get to at 5.00pm

C) There was no food

D) The Referee forgot the match was 90 minutes long

But most importantly, we were awful. Only players to come out of it with any real credit were Dean Palmer and Anthony Howard considering it was his first match back.

We are missing Daly, Metcalfe, Wilko, CJ and Gilkes a lot and the replacements coming in just don't seem good enough.

Roll on Hampton!

Yes, we were clueless. Difficult to be optimistic about Hampton though--we have not played well recently, and far from getting better, we are getting worse. I won't fault the players on commitment, but skill and effective gameplan were completely absent. We need to be more direct in our game as the current tictacs of pass the ball square until we create an opening doesn't work. A shame as we started the season well.

Being specific, since the signings of the two Bubbs our performances have declined rapidly, largely due to them trying to do one trick too many meaning the pass is late for the run of the striker resulting in offside or them losing the ball.

And of course, they're mates with the managers nephew.

Whole squad is becoming to 'clicky' with too many mates playing for the side.

Sammy's being too greedy and shooting when there are players available in the middle, Hale's out of form, Bubbs see above, Spencer was awful tonight but is almost guarenteed his place due to the lack of competition in the middle or on the right.

We're shot shy, lacking creativity, the final pass is rarely good enough, and carry on like this, we can forget promotion.

I think Browne is losing the respect of his staff - he apparently had a blazing row with Denton this evening in full view of the public - the squad re-emerged early from the team talk with Barrowcliff initiating a huddle as if to say 'Forget what he's said, do this instead'

Things are definitely not looking good.

Have they stopped paying the players and management earlier this year ?

It was a false dawn anyway, we are now at level where he can build a tinpot little stadium without to many criterias..... and his son can shine

Until Browne is weeded out and there is a sound financial structure at STFC.......... the club is nowheres ville!

The club is like the operation of this site...........second class

Wots happened to all the intelligent people who used to frequent this site? Louise, Original Ted, Bazzer, Mark etc they had lots of ideas and created discussions, .....probably seen through Mr Deaner and his followers ( leemings ) Or will this be deemed critical and deleted, hope not !

Fat Rebel - If you have an email, could you email me please? Or set up a hotmail account or something if you'd prefer.

I am very dubious of the pair of them still (Deaner and Browne) and am very concerned about the fact that Browne and Eddie had a bust up and my thinking is that Browne is now trying to get rid of Eddie so Troy can be his assstant. Guess what, Steve and Troy are good friends. Now there's a surprise....

Agree totally with everything you've said though fat rebel. It's just how to get them out and preserve our position without falling any lower!

In reply to your posting Chris :

(A) Bloody Hell ,was'nt it just.

(B) It's not that difficult place to get to it's not like were in the tight backstreets now is it.

© Sorry we cocked that one up big time ! , something got lost in communication - the person concerned will be publicly flogged before our next home game!.

(D) The second half started at just before 8.41pm (Yes it was a very short half time admittedly) the final whistle blew just after 9.27 pm

The referee played 46 minutes in the second half ( again pretty quick by today's 50 minute+ standards) but how much time wasting was there and how many stoppages were there - the answer not much if any at all.

Thought your guys played pretty well as you had us on the rack most of the second half but that's football!

Best of luck for the rest of the season ,see you later on in the year

So Dave, when you coming back?

Help us get rid of Browne, and we'll await your fifty yard wonder strikes again!

Hope all is well job wise and everything, will have to come and watch you try and play football again soon

'Rainford Watch' could resume!

On the note he makes about the fans though, the fans at a game tend not to get on the players backs en masse (Andrew Deaner excepted unfortunately) and have been quite supportive of the players.

The manager still doesn't receive any praise, largely due to the way he conducts himself. He's still not changed since you left Mr R and as a result, is damaging the club more than anything else now.
