Congratulations, you did a job on us. A quality second goal and you scored with all but one shot on goal so fair play to you. A well deserved win if the score flattered you a touch.

You were admittedly helped by us playing most of our team out of position (partly remedied at half time), hence the second half fightback. Respect to your keeper who made four very good saves.

Though I think you should point out to your defenders that buggery is illegal. I suppose if the ref lets you get away with it then good luck to you, Sturgess deserved three yellow cards & 18 is a dirty ****!

Speaking of the ref, quality decision by the ref in not awarding that penalty eh!

You can't tell me that wasn't worth a tenner now?

Am I the only person getting fed up with away supporters congratulating us on a deserved victory and then tempering it with phrases like, "It didn't help that we played half the team out of position," or "Your route 1 football will never work all season," or "Your over physical approach!"

Seems like we must be doing something right, we keep on getting results!

As for Sturgess and buggery, I think you will find that your winger was equally culpable there. The booking was an absolute joke as Sturgess won the ball cleanly! The No 5 (substituted I believe!) wasn't trying to wind up Hatchy?

I think the point is that we gave you the runaround in the first half. Got absolutely stuffed when you came at us, early in the second half but as soon as you decided to kick s**t out of us when you should have continued to play football, it was game over!

Mind you Hatches goal WAS route 1 at its best! But what a goal!

I wasn't accusing Sturgess of buggery. God no he was too busy kicking everyone in sight. The no.5 was subbed as tonight was his first game for 5 months.

"It didn't help that we played half the team out of position,"

That's true, but I won't rant on about it.

I actually thought you were one of the better footballing sides seen at Barnet this season.

Well if half the team was out of position then the other half must have been as well.

But really, it's a little lame isn't it or are you saying that the manager doesn't know where the players belong.

Now if you want to talk about players missing through injury..............

But thanks for the kind words at the end

For the second game running the lads were awesome!

Barnet gave as good as they got in terms of fouls.....

.....and how that player who went into a full-on confrontation with the ref didn't get a yellow card (let alone a red) is beyond me!

Still, Barnet are yet another team who have proved that the conference holds no fears for us.

WELL DONE TO ANDY AND THE BOYS!

Ssssshhhh Thats the most noise your lot made all night.

I read in the programme notes that Peter Shreeves was hoping that the wonderful Underhill atmosphere would spur the team onto victory. Therefore it was fitting that the winning team came from the only set of supporters that were generating an atmosphere.

Looks like some of you conference boys have been resting on your laurels too much.. Once the going got tough, you bottled it. a bit like your keeper did with the Beast breathing down his neck for the 4th goal.

The Fleet are on the march, homes crowds on the way up - Superb away support, which is also gathering momentum, and a team that gives 110%.

Its a great time to be a red.

Fantastic result and another storming performance from the lads. Also, great atmosphere created by the Fleet faithful - obviously all excited about 'our big night out' and 'cup final'!!!!!!!!!!!!. I notice that only one of the Barnet fans mouthing off on here yesterday has bothered to come back. Funny that!!

Once again, as others have said, I find it absolutely pathetic that the more established Conference clubs expect an easy win against us, then when we beat them come up with all the old excuses as to why they lost, and how physical and dirty the Fleet are. That is a load of old tosh, we've played plenty of sides this season who are more physical than us. Certainly last night, when they realised that they were beaten Barnet just resorted to kicking lumps out of everything that moved.

Well done lads and keep it up.

Great Great Evening. Barnet were well beaten and by the lack of noise from the home supporters, ( did you hear us start singing even louder after you scored your one goal), your fans starting to walk out after 70 minutes said it all.

It was a great performance once again away from home by the lads, and if you think we are rough and tough you should play Canvey Island!!

I do think that our players will have to start Drama classes, they seem to have been taken by almost every team we have played this year, especially in the diving and rolling around in agony stakes.

We must also get at least one of you players to wear silver boots, on second thoughts perhaps not as that chap who wore them last night played really poorly , and it may be down to his silly boots?

As I said great evening, great support for the lads.

Well done to Andy and the lads. See you all at Chester. on Sunday.

I can tell you what was not worth a tenner........The view and the facilities in your away fans enclosure.

Taking it as read that the keeper played in goal, five players playing out of position would be half the side. That said, you can only beat the team put in front of you, and the first two goals especially exploited our woeful defensive positioning with clinical finishing.

Barnet's board is the place to analyse why things went as they did last night. I agree that it is a little churlish to detract from what was a good win for your boys on the night. We'll have to content ourselves until the return game.

I'm sorry but Dave M was absolutely right and in my excitment I forgot to mention the fact that the "so called" facilities, could well be done under the trades description act. I would have thought that to call a kiosk a "Tea Bar." it should first and foremost sell......... Tea?

Mind you that must be beacause half the beverages were playing out of position!

Quite agree Andy and Dave, very poor facilities, bad enough that they charged us more than the home fans, but then to get there. most of us straight from work, to find no tea, then no milk, then serving oxo saying it was coffee and even putting milk in it, then no hot food, and to really rub salt in the wounds allowing home fans to use the facility as well. Rumours were going round that even the players were given a pot of tea but no milk!!.

Come on Barnet, if you insist on charging us £10 to enter your wonderful stadium, the least you can do is make sure someone has got enough supplies to last until the match is over.
