Ilford v Enfield Town 08/10/05

The Enfield Town website says this game is a 3pm kick-off. England v Austria at Old Trafford kicks-off at 4pm on that day. Does anybody know if our kick-off time is likely to be brought forward? (Had it been a home game I imagine a Friday switch would have been likely after last Friday's bumper crowd).

I must say The FA have annoyed me by arranging a 4pm kick-off. I'm sure England games normally kick-off at 3pm on police advice (to prevent people drinking all afternoon). However, if you're going to move it forward one hour why not make life easier for clubs playing that afternoon and move it forward two hours. A 5pm kick-off would allow supporters to watch their club and country (albeit in the Ilford bar for Town supporters).

At last I agree that we should have an early kick off that day but stick the England game I want to go to Rye House for the speedway, a far better option.

Make life easier for clubs and supporters ?

Dont make me laugh or delude yourself.

The "F A " is not in business to please the people who pay the wages.

it's in business to profit SKY TV, they tell you that the money is going into "Grass roots" football.

But can you tell me a scheme that's beneffiting from Sky's money ?

Football should be controlled by the majority and all games should be played on a Sat afternoon kick off at 3pm, and all the results should be announced at 5pm by Dickie Davies ( is he still with us ? )

You're Missus could then go shopping with the sister in law and you'd have kippers and toast for your tea.

( Am I still on the same planet) ?

October 8th is the date the FA has scheduled for the 3rd Qualifying round of the FA Cup. With a bit of luck it won't be Ilford we'll be requesting for the earlier kick-off.

Roll on Tuesday - you can do it Town!
