Rights and Wrongs

What is right and what is wrong? Do you agree with these? Do you want to give your own right and wrongs?

Right?:

- This is just a poor run of form, we do not need more players (although new options are always good the squad itself is a great squad to have). Sooner rather than later it will end and the wins will return.

- It's got little to do with "bad luck" or bad refereeing decisions (the decisions are no worse than normal!) the majority of our players just aren't playing that well at the moment.

- We will lose more games this season even when playing well, no one expects to do a Chelsea! But we will finish high in the league and have realistic ambitions of winning it.

- Dale should get a chance at a continued run in goal if he plays well during Mel's suspension.

- George Lay has not yet done enough for a starting place in my opinion but has shown he has skill and could prove to be a good player if he stayed on the wing.

Wrong?:

- Me! Attributing the "f*** off" to the crowd to Dormer, it appears the terrace grapevine in rotten again because others reckon it was another player who said that. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted that without hearing it for myself, what do you think?

- Hyperthetically(?) for any player to tell the supporters who pay their hard earned money to "F*** off" for anything other than undeserved personal vicious abuse (all players have the right not to get that!).

- The attitude that it is the supporters JOB to rouse the players, I thought that was part of their own job, we are there to support them (and help to pay the wages). Is it wrong to expect them to put in 100% every game, if they put in the effort they get great support, even if the result doesn't go our way. Although it should be assumed at the start of every game that 100% effort will be given and so support should be given.

Well...if you would like to visit the clubhouse tonight, the Managers, players, and my self will be more than happy to discuss and debate any questions you would care to ask. May be then, armed with facts, you could find a new topic to discus.

Thought you didn't want to discuss any of the points I raised in this post?

I thought this was a forum for supporters (it is called fans focus) and things could be talked about without having to chat to club officials first?

I find it disappointing that some people assume that just because I ask a few questions someimes, as well as writing positive posts, I must have a "downer" on the club, the players, or the staff. I have been a supporter of this club for well over a decade, O.K not as long as many of you but long enough to be considered a proper supporter with valid opinions surely? To be accused of being a Boretree supporter today was highly offensive! Well at least I wasn't accused of being a Canvey fan I suppose! Gazza, I may have been a bit rude to you a couple of times but have never questioned your support to the club, what gives you the right to question mine as you have done on numorous occasions now both jokingly and less so?

Personally, and I've said it about a thousand times I think it is a poor run of form and most of the players are not playing to their full ability and LOOK like they are not giving 100% at the moment, even if they think they are. That is my opinion, it may well be wrong but aren't I entitled to have it? Do you really want me to come down to the clubhouse and tell that to the management and players? Do you think they'll agree? Do you think they don't know some people are thinking this?

I have questioned the choice of Dormer as captain and have got a mixed feedback from people, some agreeing, many not, but isn't it good to have that discussion or does it cause too much offence to people? I think Dormer is a good player on form, and am not questioning his loyalty, ability, or commitment to the club, I just personally think he doesn't have the particular qualities that in my opinion you would look for in a good captain, again I may well be wrong, but I am entitled to that opinion. Perhaps the post of "Dormer" was wrong without hearing for myself what happened but thought by posting it people would either confirm or deny it, in hindsight it should have been worded better, although I have learnt from experience it doesn't matter how you write something as some people will just twist the words anyway.

I am disappointed that some seem to think I am not a true supporter and have a problem with the club, I think they have misunderstood what I have been trying to say. I thought this was the place to have these type of discussions but obviously people want to keep this place as a club forum rather than a fans forum. Rather than raise the blood pressure of people here anymore whilst they seem to see me as some kind of enemy, I will stop posting as "fan of the blues" and try and keep any future posts that I may make under any other name less opinionated! However I will obviously remain a supporter and attend as many games as I can and give my full support. COME ON YOU BLUES!

It appears that you have indeed stolen the march over me again.

As for you taking offence to me liking you to Ozbrit is laughable. Your post answering him was so much like his answers to others was too close to be true. So I made the comparison.

Dear me FOTB, is it me or is it you that requires a thicker skin?

I think Robs realistic attitude makes a refreshing change from the usual dewy-eyed romantic nonsense we get to see from the usual suspects. Give the guy a break, the team are more likely to respond when encouragement is balanced with criticism proportionately. In this business you're only as good as recent results and certainly not what you percieve you should be.

Now then, whats all this rubbish about my players. I'm the only one qualified to say who is good and who isn't. Now listen up you lot, stop trying to be football experts and get on with supporting the team and gettin g p***ed at the games during the second half. I'll sort the players out. Talking of players TC, I have a nice young wing back that may interest you lot, very quick and 6 feet 6 in his bare feet on account of all that running he does in his own country. Can't kick a ball mind you but no fecker will catch him once he gets going, you can have him for a grand in readies and a pint of the old black stuff next time I call in at yourn gaff. I'll have another one shortly as well, bit mature if you get my meaning but take no notice of the limp, he can sure take a good free kick and doesn't mind a bit of abuse off the fans either. Likes it in fact and wil stay on the pitch well after the games and soak it all up with a daft grin on his face. That should go down well with your lot. You can contact me anytime at my offices at Clackett Lane Service Station, Table 23, just ask for Sydney. I am the players friend.
