Quality of Ryman League sides

With possible exception of Maldon, has anybody noticed the difference between quality of Ryman league and conf. south.

 

Imo the difference is minimal, if at all.

 

Football in Ryman league is just as good as conf south(or just as bad !!).

 

Possibly, the players in conf south are a bit better individualy, but i would say that Ryman sides more than make up for it by being better teams and better organised.

Thats probably where MFC are currently faling a bit short.Last night for instance, Bromley were a better team-players ran into space more than Margate, although induividually players at MFC are probably better.

 

Also don't think there is much difference in quality of grounds and last night, the pitch and programme at Bromley were excellent

Looking at some of their comments on their forum, it would seem that they thought we played better than we thought we did!

Are our expectations too high?

Cant see that as a bad thing MF if that be the case. We were BAD though for the most part last night and that was fact.

Whilst i digressed into last nights performance, i was really wondering about peoples general opinions about the quality of Rymamn league vis a vis Conf south.

I cant see much difference in the quality of the sides and standard fotball played

I have to say MM that i have seen better football all ready this season then last year and thats not just from the Gate ie Staines, Fisher, Slough all play quite lovely attacking football and dont just constanly throw up the long ball.

 

And the few grounds i have been two all have quite impresive pitches and facilty's.

I think the main difference between the leagues is physical. Players in Conf South seem bigger and stronger. However, in terms of 'quality' there is not too much difference.

Thought the Fisher game was as good as most Conference games we have played,good quality football.

I was in the Midlands at the weekend and went to see Stafford v Workington in Conference North, draw 2-2. Not much difference between the sides, but both had two big centre halves and some strong strikers. I think that both teams would have been too strong for the Gate at the moment.

 

However, I have noticed a general improvement in the team since the friendlies and the first league game and I think that CK is building a good outfit for the future. I was not too disappointed by the display on Tuesday, bearing in mind the absentees.

 

No there is not a lot of difference between Conference North/South and the Ryman. I suspect that the top teams in the Ryman would give the bottom teams in the "higher" league a good run for their money. Hopefully we will find out, to our benefit, on Saturday!
