I am worried that we are looking at signing someone playing in league two!

Surely if he was any good he would have been noticed by now and be playing at a higher level.

I heard we were after him on ITV teletext though so it is probably just a rumour.

this guy has played for crewe, gillingham and some other crap div 2/3 teams....

 

saying that, coleman signing him wouldn't surprise me, most of colemans signings have been laughable.

we need to think about maybe loaning a young english player on the fringes of the england set up as its world cup year....someone like anthony gardener from spurs....you know what i mean

I agree with you ladodger apart from most of Colemans signings being laughable. Personally I think Coleman hasn't been that bad in the transfer market.

Well this is all paper talk so I dont beleive it for one bit untill I see the guy in a FFC shirt. Anyway whats wrong with buying players from lower divisions, you can pick up some very good players who the big clubs have not spotted and also on the cheap. Darren Bent, Tim Cahill are a couple of examples of the top of my head.

Sodje wants a move to a premiership club fair enough so he tells the paper we are interested - believable enough

 

But at 25 is a league one centre half better than the ones we have........you'd hope not

i agree about lower division players.

 

but they have to have had at least 2 or 3 great seasons and they have to be younger than 25.

 

sodje has been playnig for crap , relegated teams all his "career" and he at least 30

I think that some of you are confused - there are 2 Sodje's playing! The older version is Efie, playing at Yeovil, he's a centre half and been everywhere - not sure about the other one !!

Does seem like he's doing all the talking on his own behalf here.Talking himself up with regularity, however it dosent hurt sometimes to put yourself forward rather than wait in vain for someone to notice you.Am sure he has been putting his own cv out to clubs in the hope that his ambition can be achieved.Good luck to him.If it works out for him then good for him.Am slightly concerned for him though that maybe his credentials may not be quite up to the standards that he obviously believes he is worthy of.
