Just as we at Fleet were delighted with the news the TDC finally supported your new ground, hopefully you will reciprocte with our good news.

The main interest from an outsiders viewpoint is that it looks like Scallys plans for Gillingham to relocate next to us may now prove impossible, as Gravesham Council is now 100% committed to us.

Agree with you, Anon, but the cost of rebuilding is prohibitive, Stonebridge Road, for all it's charm IS decaying, we cannot get a long lease on the ground, and with crowds of over 1500 parking is a real problem.

A new stadium was the only logical answer, and the Council and appropriate government Departments are now backing us fully.

Gillingham to franchise to Sittingbourne??

Talking of Sittingbourne. what a cautionary tale that is for anyone building a new ground. They wanted it to be a 40,000 capacity! For a brief period in the early 90s their crowds looked like overtaking the Gills! Many Kent football followers will know what happened next and a certain Mick Fletcher.
