I never pass on rumours but I heard some talk that he was to be loaned to Harpenden Town at the beginning of the season as their keeper was suspended but it didn't happen for whatever reason.

 

It would do Ricky good to be playing, in my view.

A picture had formed in my mind. The daily briefing at the Media & Communications Centre at Clarence Park. Gibbo, the chap who used to drive the red tractor, Colin Lippiatt, Nick Roddis, captain Scott Cousins and Steve Castle, the manager of Oaklands College PASE F.C., sitting at the top table behind banks of microphones. You, the cat whisperer, Dave Tavener, Marc Dodd, David Brawn, that tall bloke from the Observer, representatives of national and local radio, T.V., Gary Lineker, Alan Hansen etc. etc.

 

A string of amnnouncements, starting with minor matters. The relocation to Wales, the progress of Yoof, etc., leading up to the headline-grabbing stuff. "In order to retain his match fitness, we have come to an arrangement with our junior colleagues at Harpenden Town FC that Reserve goalkeeper, Ricky Perks etc. etc."

 

Clearly, its not like that, Webbo.

 

Have you upset anyone mate? Perhaps they're trying to tell you something. The next time you get to t'Park, you'll probably find that they have removed the carpet from your office.

I think I've upset the caretaker after a couple of snide comments in previous threads.

 

Communication as always is slow at CP but in defense of our beloved secretary he does e-mail news when it happens - unfortunately the chinese whispers have already done the rounds by the time anything gets on the main site....

Not having a go in my post either, just heard this last week sometime and thought it would have been confirmed on the site by now, thats all.

 

I'm sure Kev and Vince would have been interested if they had known.
