Just looked at the video highlights.

 

Margate's first goal came from a Slough player(think it was Avery) being too slow and allowing the margate player to get past him and cross the ball to the far post where the marking was non existant.

 

The second Margate goal was a hopeful punt up-field and Lovegrove gave the man he was marking the initiative by being slightly the wrong side of him which caused him to have to pull his shirt to stop him.

 

Either way, they were another two goals conceded by defensive mistakes which seems to be happening with monotonous regularity.

Lovegrove wasn't the wrong side of the striker, as he was goal side, where he should be, just the ref gave a harsh pen.

Agree about Avery, should have done better, but also thought Woody should have helped him out more. Apart from that I though Avery had a good game and gets better with every match I think.

Absolutely, what's Avery doing in the left back position anyway? That may explain why the Margate player was unmarked if Avery was out there doing Leon's job.

Just looking at the video, when the ball is hoofed forward, by the time the ball reaches Lovegrove he is definately the wrong side of his man but it could be that the man he was marking had anticipated the hoof forward and had already turned Lovegrove.
