Just because Mets reacted once in a way he probably shouldn't have done to one person doesn't give people the right to collectively gang up and abuse him thereafter. Maybe he reacted because he's sick of the abuse, perhaps?

They were abused for not winning the ball back from an opposing kick off ten seconds into the match. Both Wilko and Mets were labelled as crap because of this. I think they're fully justified in their reaction in that instance. Yes, they should know better, but abuse for no reason is uncalled for.

The importance of Mets to the team was summed up by his contibution to Josias' goal againt East Thurrock. He was prepared to get stuck in and take a hit for the team. When he is on top of his game (which he has been for months) he is vital to the side.
