as i have watched slough longer than most of you boys have been alive i feel qualified to know a good player when i see one ,and i have been very vocal about it since mr metcalfe returned back to us , yes his foot ball has been out standing unfotunateley it should be more involved and more skillfull and since he has no pace and you sheep seem to believe that he has a footballing brain then he should be able to make up for thatby thinking about what he is doing ,in many of the number of criticismsaround the ground i have heard he does not do this , in fact the amount of times he runs away from battle if he was in the armed forces he would be shot for cowardice in face of the enemie , if you cannot see this then i suggest you watch more closely the next game you attend. ps there is nothing wrong with my spelling perhaps it's just your understanding nathan.

My only beef with Mets is that he cannot take any form of critism.

 

He always replies to any form of critism with f**k off or sticks two fingers up.

 

I think a paying supporters are entitled to voice their opionions and a player should be big enough to ignore them and prove them wrong by his actions on the pitch.

Why is is that whenever anyone criticises a player on here they only do it under an anonymous name? Optimistic, Heavy Trucker, Death Head etc.

 

At least have the courage of your convictions and put your name to it. Using an anonymous name is about as cowardly as you can get. Sad people.

Absolutely, and I have quite openly admitted that after that Northwood game myself and 1 other did consider putting Mets up on Ebay and am quite pleased to admit how wrong I was! I also thought Haddow had a mare at the beggining of that season too- and was pleased to admit I'm wrong. I think a lot of the problem is people are too blinkered to admit they were wrong. Or maybe I'm just being to polite about various anonymous's maybe they are just full of it.
