Fashion's at the Fleet?

Actually the where not to eat guide is providing a useful community service.....following Fleet boys experience I shall stick to using the chippy at Meopham, I didn't actually need Chrisblanc to tell me that getting p*ss*ed and eating a dodgy kebab was a bad thing but maybe some young impressionable supporters out there can learn from his experience.

Instead of the Egon Ronay guide we could have the Gravesend Gastro-enteritis guide...so Fleet boy how many diced carrots would you award to Sanchos?

I know it's pointless, just like this whole thread lol

Maybe I am a sad git, but I am interested in the history of terrace culture in all its forms, ( ie what has made footie fans tick throughout the years, and what makes them keep coming back time and time again ) , and that involves fashions etc.. It is obvious from the guy that started this post, that his whole matchday experience starts from the moment he opens up his wardrobe and decides what to wear.

I dunno about you, but I find that a fascinating insight in the whole football phenomenon.

If your addition to the thread was about, what I eat on the way to the ground, or on my way home from the match then it would be of interest, as its about a football ritual.

But I could not give a [censored] about whether you ate kebab and chips whilst under the influence on a night out, now that is pointless.

Please don't confuse the two.

Good point there wobbly, but there are plenty of things on this forum with nothing to do with football,e.g. the storyboard thread,i've got nothing against those threads, and i think if you dont like them dont bother reading them! For the record Slartibartfast, the place has been closed down about three times(i think)because of its hygiene..enough said.

Strangely enough, it was just a bit of a joke, but if people get out of bed on the wrong side, I can live with that lol.

I can see that some may be interested in what people are wearing at the matches, and I like the idea of the match experience starting when you choose what you're deciding what to wear at the game, but...

To imply that this has been a serious thread is somewhat of an overstatement. The first few posts in this thread talk of visits from Stella McCartney, off the shoulder numbers, shell suits and flourescent socks. So lighten up a little.

You are right I was a bit harsh – But in my defence I along with 2 million others , suffer from FSDS ( Football Season Deficiency Syndrome ) which coupled with the fact that I had a great loss last night, meant that I was a bit tetchy this morning.

Whilst on my usual Saturday night out, this if you are not aware, consists of me venturing to my local nightclub in a full replica Brian Woolfe kit, topped off with the hairpiece handed to me by the great man himself.

However, last night in my drunken stupor, whilst leaving the club the aforementioned hairpiece got caught by a gust of wind, and went flying across to the otherside of the road. Which unfortunately , coincided with the local councils dog warden unit passing by, whom mistakenly took it, for Mrs Perkins’ ( you know the one from no.32 who smells of wee ) missing shitzu, and nabbed it before I had a chance to leap Lee Smelt like after it.

This hairpiece had great sentimental value, as it was the one worn by Brian at the Gola Alliance dinner and dance ( circa 1978 ) , it was the D & D , for those that were there, where he sent Mrs. Woolfe flying across the dancefloor by producing a legendry Woolfie side step when dancing the military two step. What a legend !

So hopefully this explains my outburst… Sorry for any offence caused, but hope you all understand.

However, I feel much better after a few swifties at lunchtime, which for those of you unaware, means venturing to my local in a replica Kenny Burrett kit, topped off with the full beard.

You will be glad to know that the beard made it safely back home…

I'm not being funny, but casuals & fighting at football go hand in hand, so if you have the 'casual element' at the fleet, then there must have been some scuffles this year or are you playing it down like the media so not to give the club that sort of reputation?? genuine post, don't think its a dig!
