That was a great quote studentscum but shouldn't it have been Jasper Conran or perhaps Terrance, I've never heard of designer called Conrad!!

SuperDaz - With the greatest respect I don't think that that is the point.

The point is, a football club support base is made up of a very broad spectrum. The Fleet are no different to any others.

You have the shirts , the casual dressers ( doesn't mean hooligans) , and the couldn't care less what I wear brigade.

what the point is, is the Fleet need as many of the these three groups to be paying their 9 quid each home game as possible, as well as , as many to get to the away games and make themsleves heard ( like at Barnet ) to spur the team on to an even higher level that they are performing at the moment.

I have been a regular at the Fleet for many a year now, and the buzz around the ground has never been higher. If we are attracting fans , whom would normally go the premiership games/Nationwide games ( And I know we are ) , then thats got to be good news.

Let the Fleet remain a broad church, and lets see our attendances go onwards and upwards.

PS. Forgot to add.

The one no no that I have in the fashion stakes.. Is when Adults wear footie shirts of premier/nationwide teams to our games. Yes .. we want your money and custom.. But we don't want you displaying your other clubs colours at our games. please give us a little respect..

For kids its Ok , but please dads get your hands in your pockets and buy them a Fleet kit, they look good , get admiring & wondering looks from anyone outside the area, and are reasonably priced.. C'mon you know it makes sense.

Good point well made Wobbly...my sons Nick Burton shirt looks miles better on him than his scumchester united shirt plus it has the added bonus that I am not ashamed to be seen out with him.

Well Wobbly, I would say that according to my records ( and their not that good as Albert is only interested in the Premiership ) the Fleet have been successful in attracting supporters from all the sectors.

2000/2001 Averaging in the 600's

2001/02 Averaging in the 900's. ( This was skewed greatly by the Canvey game.

2002 / 03 Averaging so far approx in the 1300's.

A remarkable rise, and one that if you continue to double your crowds every 2 years, you will need a capacity of over 41,000 by the season 2012/2013. This may seem a long way off, but you can never start planning these things too early.

My only worry about fashion at the Fleet, is that there doesn't appear to be many sheepskin wearing fans. This is an area where I will be looking for improvement.

All the best on your continued rise up the Conference

Newsflash !!

2 Burberry caps wearers seen at the Fleet today.. As only a handful of Leigh fans in attendance, they must be fellow Fleet fans.

We must put a stop to this - If you know who they are, please let them know that it ain't big and it ain't clever.

Lets make Stonebridge Road a Burberry free zone.

From what I saw today - Lacoste would appear to be the label of choice for any discerning Fleet gentlemen.

Talking of fashion - what about Liam's ensemble today - black shirt, white collar, white tie. Shame he didn't have the machine gun in the violin case to wipe out a few of the Leigh defenders

Probably best caps at moment are Prada Sport ones. In black, navy, khaki or white, they are plain, except for a descreet red 'prada' stripe. Looking at about £90-£100 though.

Despite a disappointing crowd on Saturday..

There was still a lot of casual wear on show, Lacoste, RL, and an ever increasing show of the old terrace classic 'Stone Island', and still no Burb caps ..

Keep it up chaps and keep the faith !!

Agree mate, good to see Stone Island being seen at the Fleet. Let's hope it a sign of times too come.

I was sporting a black padded SI coat, with grey Paul & Shark cap if anyone's interested.

Glad to see some people take pride in there appearance.

3 points for GNFC is the most important aspect of the day but away fans should go home impressed with the appearance of GNFC fans, be they Casuals or Scarfers.

I fail to see how wearing some HL,SI, Lacoste or Aquascutem gear makes you a sheep/wannabe Hooligan. Shouldn't taking pride in your appearance and good behaviour to the other fans be important as well? Whoever thinks that reads to much Redtop Trash.

Let me rephrase earlier posting, ie whoever thinks Casuals are trouble reads to much Redtop trash.

We'd all better slag off Mods, the Tudors, Teddy Boys or any other groups from earlier decades, because they all set and followed a fashion.

By the way I'm also CFC, of course you can't recognise us because at the Bridge we all look the same.
