Mr Hodges doubles up as a fine upstanding barman in my local, he seems very modest and will only talk through his goal(s) about 6 or 7 times .......... an hour.

Now there was a cynical element in the pub that didn't actually think he was a footballer, personally, i thought the gayer haircut was a giveaway, now my question to you guys is this..

..is he any good, he has offered a few of us some match day tickets to pop along and judge for ourselves, as much as i'd like to pop along blinded, this is a saturday afternoon we're talking about here, missing Jeff Stelling and C4 racing to see Hodgey play..

and finally, if we pop along, can we make up a new song for him as the two he seems to have are awful, especially the Spandau Ballet one.

Cheers

We are fortunate enough to drink in a fairly popular boozer so the front door often is opened and closed creating a vacuum of fresh air every five minutes or so.

Still didn't answer the question set, is he half decent or not, being the modest guy that he is, he just refers to his countless cut outs kept in his moth ridden wallet.

It's a pub called The Sun, it's next door to the police station, not great surroundings for Hodgey judging by the average age of his saturday night conquests.

We're planning Walton & Hersham at home as our date of destiny.

The pub is sponsoring a game at Montrose in October so we may even see if we can be match ball sponsors for the day.

Is there any truth in the rumour that Hodgey doubles up as Jim Kerr on the clubs karaoke nights

well since you're showing it to him.......

I'd disagree with the Hodgey Stinks comment wholeheartedly.

Just because he didn't score today doesn't mean he wasn't on form. Hodges is one of a dying breed of all-rounder footballers and, as has already been noted, he was the saviour of the match at one point with an amazing clearance off the line. He is also one of the few players who always gives 110%, something he should be credited for...

we should all remember that he played in central defence for a lot of last season, hes a top quality footballer.

even if he doesnt score he does enough to help others to score

you can add this to the print out too

Whilst not to ruin the Haddow thread and talk sport, who does the video footage for the league games ?

It's now a mission to get myself in front of that camera during a game and be seen on the footage on the website.

The Hampton game was bizarre, you lot could have been 8-0 at half time, yet clawed it back via, dare i say it, two bits of fine work by Hodgey.
