Mercury 16th Sept

 

Full marks to the Mercury yesterday with 3 full colour prints of Matty Negus, Paul Campbell and Rudi Hall on the back and second from back page. The match was their featured match.

 

"Two-goal hero Matt Negus says Enfield Town's FA Cup victory over rivals Waltham Abbey was fuelled by a desire for revenge.

Town are still sore after being thrashed by Abbey in last season's Essex Senior Leaue Final and Negus admits he and his team mates were desperate to settle the scores.

"It was good for us to get an early goal. We owed them one after we lost the cup final last season and we were really fired up." said the former Wimbledon trainee."

 

Not a bad write up for an Abbey point of view.
