Bamford banned for 11 matches

It would appear that The F.A have banned him for 11 first team matches. Click on Southern East and then Stuart Bamford.

I think the most disappointing thing is that he is still an Uxbridge player. A decent club would have sacked him for that incident.

They have had such a poor start to the season and are so desperate they will even stoop so low as keeping a thug like Bamford.

 

Also, as far as I'm aware, Uxbridge have never issued an oppology or said they were sorry for the incident, so getting rid of Bamford would go against what their morals and ethics of fair play.

I have emailed the FA to confirm whether the 11 match ban for Stuart Bamford is for the stamping on head incident, the lovely guy I emailed, will be letting me know on Monday once he has spoken with the disciplinary dept, once I have the answer I will let you all know.

As far as I can make out, the players was suspended immediately following the incident. The subsequent Commission suspended him for a total of 63 days. As it was a pre season friendly he was suspended for "days" rather than the normal "matches" as would be the case during the "competitive" season.

Thank you for contacting The Football Association.

 

Stuart Bamford was issued with an Interim Suspension order on 5th

August. He was charged by this Association. He denied the charge and

requested a Personal Hearing which took place on 9th September.

Therefore up to that date he had already served a 35 day suspension. At

the Hearing he was found guilty of deliberate violent conduct and was

therefore given an additional 28 days to serve. His total suspension

was 63 days. It was not a match based suspension.

It is a stupid thing they do for non-competitive games, although, normally only pre-season.

Horsham what they mean is that he has been banned for a number of days as oppossed to a number of matches. The ban is based on the incident where he tried to inflict grevious bodly harm on Andy Ballard.
