Anyone know anything about this Aussie singer/songwriter?

 

I bought his best of... and I'm just listening to it for the first time.

 

Pretty good actually, some of the mid-80s stuff, well, you can really hear where INXS got their sound from.

Saw him live in 81 at the Adelaide Festival theatre.

 

Was then "Paul Kelly and the Dots" who fronted for a Dire Straits gig. My wifes cousin was dating the bass player (can't remember his name right at this moment even though we met him on quite a few occasions) so we got back stage and an invite the after show party ..... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

 

I liked them and have some of their early stuff hidden away somewhere. I'll look it out for you and try and get you a bit of background info.

This CD is in chronological order - certainly the earlier stuff on here (85-87) is the more interesting.

 

Just bought it on a whim, really. Like most of my music!
