Has Luke McShane gone?

Regretably if McShane has gone then I would anticipate that Kerr will re-claim his place in the side as he would appear to be Daish's first choice 'keeper.

Sadly therefore, as a result I will not be surprised to see a 'dip' in both the confidence and the overall performance of the team, particularly the defence.

I hope that this will not be the case as will undo all the good work achieved in recent matches.

Surely Holloway's his first-choice as he started against Exeter and the two haven't been available together since...?

So based on 1 game, they are rubbish - if you saw Grobellar or David James, or most other top level keepers on a bad day, no doubt you'd have dumped them from your team too!

Kerr was an U21 Irish International for god sake - it may have been a couple of seasons back, but he cant be that bad - come to that, Holloway was on Arsenal's books - ok, so he didnt make the grade there, but again, you have to have a certain level of ability to get there.

As is always said on here, lets give the guys a proper chance - if all we do is spend time slagging the guys off, no matter what, any confidence they do have now will soon disappear.

I would say that after 1 game you can assess a keepers attributes more so than any other position?!

Handling

Awareness

Communication

Shot Stopping

Kicking

All of these can be assessed in 1 game if need be (although ideally more).

I would say both of our keepers arent perfect - but i will give them a chance. Now the defence has settled it may boost the keepers confidence.

So on that evidence, if I assess Charlie Mitten's goalkeeping ability on his performance at Underhill last season alone, that in theory makes me a better 'keeper than he is.
