Chris Kamara mentioned on Sky Sports tonight that Ted Mcmin, who played for Slough breifly in the 90s, has had his foot amputated due to picking up an infection in an old injury. Maybe the Trust should look at making some sort of donation to him.

Remember watching him on several ocassions.

Crowd liked him and you could tell he had played professionally at a higher level as he had those touches that just set him apart from other players although his legs were a bit fragile even then.

it not a question of lots of money !

Its a question to support others who are less well off and are suffering...

The Trust prides its self on helping when it can...

time to get real opti ! we live in the real world... and don't think of ourselves all the time..we are part of the community and must do our best to help in times and matters like this...

Opti you are a very lucky person to have both of your legs.
My father had both of his amputated you then see the pain and suffering that this does to a person and realise they need all the help going this stopped him from watching Slough after 30 yrs as a supporter.

Steve, for all we know Opti might not have a full set of limbs, this could be why he's so bitter and twisted.

Let's face it Opti knows all about being a tight-*rse! Last season he promised to contribute £200 to help the club in its plight, but never a penny has been seen and he always ignores the reminders, so don't expect the miserable git to feel any sympathy for an amputee. The laset time he wept was when he had to open his wallet.

What a total saddo!

I think it is a disgrace that anybody is moaning about donating some money to Ted McMinn. I remember talking to Brian McDermott when he first signed him, and he said 'Even when he is not playing , he lifts and encourages everybody else". Lets be fair, when he signed for us he seemd about 86, but he still had something to offer.(he wasn't cack like Kenny Sansom!)

If somebody were to start a collection I would be happy to donate £20 to get the ball rolling. To all those who think the trust should save their money, YOU make a contribution so the trust doesn't have to. Although , as trust member, I would not object to a donation being made.

If we do not at least make an offer of a donation to a former player in distress(lets face it the most half of us have to go through is the flu, this poor sod is losing a fecking limb!) then we should hang our heads in shame.
