The police investigated the shirt sponsorship draw and the then Chairman was interviewed in the police station 'under caution' [i.e. 'You do not have to say anything but anything you do say will be taken down and may be uesed in evidence against you etc etc.]

 

It's never happened to me but I imagine that he's keen to avoid a repetition. Can't blame him for that although the innocent should never fear for justice etc. [Except Thornsy. He just looks guilty.]

Morning Webbo, let me explain.

 

Our old 'friend' has been out trawling various forums of late talking about brewery loans and insurance claims. The unkind could suggest that he was trying to throw some more unsubstantiated dirt on a former St. Albans chairman, but I believe that to be beneath him, no.

 

I believe the answer could be that he's planning another of those blood-less coups like we nearly had in 02. You remember the one "It should've been me, O’ Lordy, Lordy, it should've been me ..." Well we all put a stop to that!

 

Anyway, it could be that he's looking for funding and is seeking advice. Keep an eye on him Webbo, I am. I'll have a word with that nice bloke who used to drive my red tractor.

 

As to the police thing, we all know who instigated it and, as every penny was accounted for, we all know that the police viewed it as a completed waste of their time.

 

Dad would've been proud!
