2nd most embarrassing result?

Since 1986, I can think of only one more embarrassing result that being the 10-3 defeat at Chelmsford in the Essex Senior Cup. A few other shameful results:

 

Wolverton 4-3 BTFC (league)

BTFC 1-6 Barton Rovers (League)

Thetford 4-1 Billericay (FA Vase)

 

Any others?

We put 5 on you one evening in 00/01 when our players hadn't been paid for 6 weeks.

 

I wouldn't call that embarrassing, however. More a goodwill gesture!

I seem to remember being very depressed away at a Berkhamstead at the end of the season one year. But my memory fails me as to exactly why

What about that time many years ago when we lost something like 6-1 at Heybridge? I think it was a Xmas game and I think the legendary Tony Field was playing. Those were the days!...

That would be 97/98 Town were 3rd and needed to win to get promotion Berko were 3rd from bottom and need a win to stay up.

Or are you thinking of Purfleet away? That finished 6-1, we were 5 down at HT and Brian Moffatt was manager.

 

Then there was a 6-0 home defeat to Boring Wood who were rock bottom and had already booked their relegation place. The Bishop Stortford chairman at the time was so shocked he called the Club to check what he was sure had been a misprint!
