Kingstonian 2-0 BTFC

V good 1st half but didn't score, v poor 2nd half & never looked like scoring. We played some very good football 2nd half and had a couple of decent chances, Fewings had the best of them. 2nd half Kingstonian came at us and once they had score the opener we started to fall apart. v. frustrating, particularly as Stalebuns could only draw and Aldersh*t lost 3-2 (Joe Baker amongst the scorers for Aylesbury there!)

Can't work us out at the moment.First half I thought we were excellent and created lots of chances to take the lead, everyone looked good and we were a joy to watch passing the ball around really well.Second half was the total opposite everyone was p*ss poor.Don't like to pick out one player bcos everyone was c*ap second half, but Brennan gifted them the second goal and he don't get the team going like a captain should,he ain't got any pace and he strolls around the pitch too passively.Martin Carthy for captain! and a better all round display Saturday please.N thanks to Gary Calder racing for the coach money!

I think we missed Willo 2nd half as were unable to get much of a grip on midfield. Apparently he was taken to Kingston hospital after getting a blow to the head unable to remember much about the day. Surprised we perservered with the sweeper system, Adedeji was probably one of our better players against kingstonian but I think the system was wrong - playing a back 4 and conceding 4 goals in 12 must have been doing something right?

You probably had to change to a sweeper system to comabt our strike force.

We didn't really get going in the 1st half and that allowed you to dominate, in the second we showed more of what we can do, but that was still a fair bit off our peak.

I think we will suprise a few people this year, and the average age of our side on display yesterday...................20

We have got to create more goal scoring opportunities, it was similar situation against Purfleet where we dominated for the first half hour but did not score. It seems that our only source for goalscoring is from Mark Graham. I believe our strikers are good enough but are having to survive on half chances. When was the last time we saw a Billericay striker running onto a through ball in a one on one with the Keeper? As for the defence which was the best in the division, we now seem to be carved open quite easily, even by Yeading. I think we should revert to a back four and bring Brennan back to midfield.

a similar pattern to what we have seen of late..a lot of good possession in the first half but few clear cut scoring opportunities but we looked easily the better side. after the break we failed to turn up (not for the first time) and the difference was that kingstonian managed to turn their possession into goals.

i thought adedeji did ok but the fact remains we changed the tightest defence in the league and proceded to let in two.

once again we missed willo s bite and ive decided i must be a carthy hater cos for me he just doesnt get involved enough for a central midfielder especially away from home. brennan had a nitemare today and richard graham is not as effective when played inside .

if there is to be a positive from this result let s hope its the abandonment of the 3 at the back system and that we revert to the 4-4-2 which served us so well at the start of the season.

we need to be up for the cup next weekend for the 10 grand game agst boretree so lets get back to winning ways..

First half we looked like we never going to lose this game but second half was dire.

this 3 at the back system has got to go, we were lucky to get back into the yeading game, against purfleet it seemed to work better but that was against a side not scoring many goals. I thought for a while that our defence was going to get caught out as there is only so many games JJ can go on producing the superb saves that has kept us in games. I dont think it matters how good Adedeji is, it was always going disrupt a proven back four by brining him in straight away. surely a few appearences from the bench would have been better for him and the team?

I agree with simon that willo, brenners and carths with poss one man up front would work in away games. English football at even the highest level has struggled to play with 3 at the back (think Hoddles england) so its unlikely that in the frantic lower leagues it would be any more successfull.

great support for the lads in the first half, shame they never gave us more to shout about in the second half.
