Try telling that to every other bugger who has gone out panic buying and those that do need petrol now can't get it or have to wait for the best part of an hour....

 

Makes any planned blockade a bit pointless given a weeks worth of petrol has been sold today. I'm sure two days without will really do some damage now...

I have to say bloody blockade people ! why they should dictate to me !

 

don't blame the govt for this...

 

had to queue for 2 hours today ! I was nearly on empty...

 

and proberly wasted an extra gallon just having to wait... who made me pay this the bloody blockade people thretening us all with a possible petrol shortage... ******s..

 

maybe we should not be so wasteful in our driving habits ...maybe we should learn to be more wise with this commodity....

Even the protestors don't know what they're protesting about! On the radio this morning one of them said they had to make a stand against the government's taxation policy. Now I'll admit that I'm the first to take pot shots at the labour party but they haven't increased fuel duty in at least two years!

 

And, to consider fuel duty alone is irrelevant anyway. Other countries have less fuel duty but pay far higher income tax than we do. The duty is just a means of indirect tax as opposed to direct tax. At least if taxation is indirect you have a choice (to a degree) about what you spend your money on.

 

If they reduced fuel duty they would just increase tax elsewhere and income tax rises as your income grows whereas your fuel bill, typically, does not. The people motivating the complaints are the haulage industry, not the majority of the public.

Road directions

From the M3 motorway

 

Leave the motorway at Junction 4 and take the A331 signed to Farnham. After a few hundred yards exit at the second slip road - signed A325 Farnborough - turn right at the roundabout and cross over the dual carriageway and a small roundabout. Then as all directions

 

From south of Farnborough

 

Take the A31, Guildford to Farnham road, and turn north onto the A331 dual carriageway, heading towards the M3. Ignore the Farnborough exit and leave the A331 at the Frimley exit before turning left at the top of the slip-road. Then as all directions

Pass the Farnborough Gate shopping centre on your left and at the next roundabout turn left onto the A325. Go over a pelican crossing and at the next set of lights take the right filter into Prospect Avenue. At the end of this road turn right at the roundabout into Cherrywood Road. The ground is half a mile on the right.
