reflection on yesterdays game

bit of a surprise at the off to see stansted wanting to play football and fair play to them for that...the conditions were difficult for all of the players with the heat and the humidity wearing them down and I thought that we did enough in the first half to be in front at the break...

 

second half we were much the better team but if the stansted strikers had taken advantage of a couple of lapses during the match it may have been a little more difficult...twice the pair of them were onside and thru on goal and seemed so surprised they didn't know what to do....

 

not our best performance to date but a good win and a very determined team with several out injured or suspended that never stoped running for each other and were 100% committed throughout...

 

officials the best so far but Asa was 2 yards onside for his disallowed goal so.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />...in any event...no bookings and a good sporting game from both sides...some excellent passing footie at times as well from both teams...nice friendly visitors and I hope they enjoyed their stay with us......

 

anyway...great result so well done to all and a nice home draw against anyone will do on monday thank you... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
