FA Cup Draw

Obviously we will be the underdogs. SAC have had a good start in NS. However, we have beaten a few higher league sides in cup competitions during our first 4 years and with our very vocal support you never know. It will be good to see some away support for a change. We had an FA cUp derby against Waltham Abbey on Saturday but they only brought a few fans. The 24th should be a good afternoon.

I can help with this one.

We are tractor-less. There was an antique one discovered in the back of a garage but it didn't appear to have ever been red.

We have a recently purchased (honestly!) natty ride-on mower contraption which does the job. It is a shiny red colour and moves are afoot to get it lowered, add some neon lights on the underneath and paint 'Kenwood' or something similar on the side.

As for the finer points of our time in the High Court, ask away. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that.

Does D. Taverner still follow your fortunes? He always spoke very highly of the 'other club'...

Looking forward to your visit, but about as confident as Ian Bell was this morning.

Thanks Scoreline. Its not a new one we lost, actually, but thanks for that. the search continues.

What about a tea-urn or a carved pumpkin?

Dave Taverner. "Follow our fortunes"? About 1300 consecutive matches, Scoreline. Everyone wants know what he was doing for the game before the 'run' began.

Is the Inland Revenue Tax Inspector still involved at your place?

He spent 5 days at the court hearing waiting to take the box sharing the waiting room with a former Chairman of ours. Any idea what they talked about while they were waiting? Old times and old tax bills perhaps.

Having been the occasional visitor on your forum I have noticed the trend that you don't have much time for your former Chair!

He stood up for us in court and gave us some much needed programme sponsorship in the early days so most at ETFC don't have too much of a problem with him.

Anyhow, Tax? Never heard of it guv...

Regardsless, all water under the bridge.

Always enjoyed playing St. Albans (With the possible exception of when you beat us (the 1893 club) with nine men). Don't particularly know why. Like your ground although I saw more of it than I'd have liked in the nomadic era, liked your tea bar raffle ticket system and liked the fact that Steve Clark barely ever scored against us!

We're the FA Cup 'featured team' in the NLP after we beat Soham so the game should get decent coverage. Let's hope you don't hit 10...

Its too complicated for me, Webbo.

I thought that Enfield Town wheeled in half-a-dozen pillars of the community, one of whom was one of their Directors, a head honcho Inland Revenue Tax Inspector, together with the former chairman of The Mighty Saints, as character witnesses in this libel/slander/whatever trial.

I'm not sure where the pillars of the local community were 'dissed'. On this board, not at the trial. Perhaps the chap is a bro. Not the Tax Inspector. The chap what wrote the message.
