Agree with you Max the referee was the best i've seen for a while.

I would have been a lot happier with the referee had he waved a red card at Tony Mercer for that dreadful tackle on Asa in the first half.

 

I was also very surprised when offside was given against Gareth Thomas after he had run half the length of the field to score - Asa took the pass but was nowhere near to being offside.

 

The referee also ignored the very loud flow of verbal dissent aimed at him midway through the second half by one of the Stansted forwards, when it was crying out for a yellow card.

 

And the crowd of 415 was excellent, especially as there were no visiting supporters in attendance.

There was a group of Stansted supporters in the riverside stand but they where very shy and retiring bunch.

I am not convinced that Danny Vincent ment that flick i think he threw a leg at the ball and bounced up of the outside of his boot.I am willing to be wrong if he does it again and follows up with a decent cross.
