Celebration & Dilemma – CI v WHU

I remember Jeff giving an after match interview on the pitch when we had just won the Trophy in 2001. He thanked all the players that had played for the club in the past and done their part in bringing the club to the level they were then.

 

This match really is a celebration of a club that has gone to strength to strength in such a short space of time. As well as seeing these Canvey players of the past, personally will be great seeing the likes of Steve Hibbert (schoolboy neighbour who lived over the road), Mick Bodley, last time I saw him was in that famous victory against Wigan and John Keeley.

Then we have the likes of some players called Cottee, McAvennie, Bonds, Stewart, Devonshire, Martin etc. Players I used to watch on a regular basis.

 

Dilemma is, shall I wear a Canvey or West Ham shirt!
