FAC1Q v Oxford City

Recommended Posts

Really good feeling after today's game... the first half was quite good (i know its been said before but chopper makes such a difference to the side) but the second half we dominated the game.

Carbon was MOTM by a country mile, although thought hodges, woodruffe, harris and seedel looked good too...

Team was

Parkin,

Daly, Paget, Ballard,

Carbon, Woodruffe, Harris, Metcalfe, Shephard

Seedel Hodges

subs used: Alexis, Miller (for Shephard and Seedel respectively)

Carbon and Harris were superb. Mets and Hodgey just behind them. A decent first half saw 5 of their players booked and we went in 1-1. The seond half saw slough totally dominate and were unlucky not to go on to win by 5 or 6. Carbons second was superb, and they had a sending off in the closing 15 minutes!

Must mentions Harris' goal - early contender for goal of the season? Cant wait to see that again in the highlights! Carbon was unluck not to get a hatrick too with the way he was playing after his 2nd goal.

Good win that continues our winning run hopefully we can make it 4 against Margate on Saturday.

Was a good game and we are finally starting to look like more of a team and playing with more cohesion as the last home game I saw (Leyton) we played like strangers at times.

Thought we played pretty well first half and they did as well despite being a few leagues below us. Only negative thing in the first half was that Josias did not get enough of the ball - everything was down the left.

Second half played better. Chopper at the heart of most things and Josias getting his goals in an excellent second-half performance. Was also impressed with Woodruffe, although Paget worries me and against better opposition and I hope i'm wrong I think he may be exposed - although he did improve second half.

May also be worth Eddie having a look at their 10 - the goalscorer Ray Spence, looked very sharp and caused our defence lots of problems. Also at that level can't be that high wages?

Apparently their 10 has a real temperament problem, although is one of the quickest players in non league football. Might be worth a look though.

Highlights may be delayed as I'm having prolems with my internet connection at the moment, so don't know when they'll be on the site. Same with the match day pictures.

Good win today and better vocal support, so well done to all those involved behind the goal.

Well done Slough, certainly the better side in the second half, not alot to choose from in the first, Referee was a bit card hungry.

Good to see Andy Ballard in action, not so good to see Sam Shepherd who was utter crap at Oxford City.

Hands off ray spence <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" />, we need somebody to score our goals at "bogtrotter" level.

Cheers.

Padz.
