On Saturday V oxford City

The newly sponsored under 13yrs side from Slough Juniors will be at the match...to have their pictures taken with the first team squad.

Slough Town Supporters Trust to encourage and to help within our town, we have under taken to sponsor one junior side this year who will compete within the local juniors sides in Slough, this firstly to show that even thought we are playing our sport out of the borough we are still a full part of it ! and a part of the slough community too.

The team's colours are the same as our first team but have a different badge, but blazed across their chest will be :

Slough Town Supporters Trust.

I hope you will be happy that the trust are trying to promote our club within the community.

See you all there Saturday..

I have ask if the slough observer to be there...however if not could Gary & Emma take some too !

Kind regards chris <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Is it too late to organise them to have a half time penalty shoot out as well just to make their day that bit more memorable? was going to mention it on the advertising thread as a way of getting more kids through the turnstile, i know it has been discussed before but as we were thinking of ways to boost attendances i thought i would bring the idea of half time penalty shoot outs for kids up again

An alternative: A non league game I attended a year or so ago, organised a five minutes each way Junior 5 a side match across a short pitch around the centre circle. It gave all of the kids a chance to participate more of the time and gave all the crowd something to cheer, as they asked them to pick a side to cheer on. The youngsters loved it.

We would have no objections to a penlty shoot-out at half-time providing it's properly supervised and doesn't become a free-for-all with hundreds of kids all over the pitch!

The winter months would be different though as damage limitation has to be the prime thought with 2 first teams and 2 reserve teams using the pitch.

Going back to the penalty shoot out idea, Wycombe were selling the opportunity to take part in a penalty shoot out on bank hol monday to the kids on their holiday courses for a fiver. Don't know what take up they got. Maybe offering a school each game the opportunity to bring along a group of kids to take part with free entry to the kid and cheap entry to the parent. Again something Wycombe used to do at Toms school.
