INJURY NEWS (looking for some)

Gradleys injury must be worse than first thought to be?

Any news on Cola?

Finally, Darren Annon - there were suggestions he would be playing in September. Does anyone know more?

Lengthy injury list announced in todays local.

If the lsit is right I wonder who our central defenders will be -

Deen out

Kola out for some time

Annon - not fit, possibly not signed anyway

Taken direct from the paper, mm:

'Hasim Deen (torn thigh fibres) and Kola Okikiolu (torn thigh) are likely to be out a fortnight, while key midfielder Pat Gradley (knee) has been told to rest for three weeks by his specialist.

So they are definitely out, and it's touch and go on the next batch. Leon Braithwaite (calf), Gavin McGowan (ankle), Mark Green (stomach), Ian Hilaire (ankle), Dean Standen (calf) and Osman Sesay (knee) are all struggling.'

But of course the paper would have been put together yesterday, so things may have improved by Saturday.

I wouldnt expect them to make an appearance tomorrow. If you are injured you need to rest. Maybe Mark Green will make an appearance but as for the leg injuries, I would let them rest to be safe. Its not the league, thats the key thing for Margate IMO. Save them for the League games. Better to be safe than sorry as they say.

Well, we still have Charlie, JK, Oates, Bill, Burke, Brown, Sacha must be near cleared for action, Watson, Remy, Corbett and the new guy Warren Ryan who have not appeared in the injured list, and some of the doubtfuls will probably be OK. Greenie had a stomach bug on Monday, but they normally pass quite quicky. My zhukov had one on Tuesday and he's leaping about all over the place now, and he's a darn sight older than Mark.

Have I missed any others? I am pretty confident we will field a reasonable team tomorrow.

This is an important game tomorrow.

We need the prize money and gate money to help with the CVA and squad building.

Imagine what a 4/5 game cup run would do especially if we get home draws and 700 plus crowds.

We need to get some winning momentum to keep the crowds and excitement flowing before winter sets in.

Realistically we will not get in top 5 and play offs imo,so we need to maximise the FA Cup opportunity.

I think tomorrows game is being taken for granted and/or a 'does it matter' approach.

I think it is a vital game to win tomorrow, which looking at the injury list is going to be very very difficult

May even be a chance to give some of the better players in the youth set up a try? Not sure if there eligible to play but if they are may be a good opportunity to place a couple on the bench if needed and see what players are comming out of the system.

They start their season on Sunday so hopefully CK or KR get over to Maidstone to watch them.

i watched them play tuesday & tonight and i can tell you there is 2 that could fit into any team one is a double for Sam Sodje left back & can kick with both feet never dodges a tackle good with his head and plays the ball out of defence no big hoof plays well with the other player but dont know his name will find out they play Maidstone Sunday why dont C/k take them on a training night with the first team im sure he would be pleased with whats been put together so far.
