Was going to make a comment about certainly being able to read and write when I went to Marlborough, so the standards must really have dropped.

 

But then again, I learnt to read and write when I was about four.

When I was at Marlborough, the closest was the King Harry, followed by the Duke Of Marlborough and the Abbey Tavern.

 

The Offa was a bit further out, I think. Never went near the place, personally.

 

The King Harry was the easiest, but they were very wary about serving schoolkids! The Duke was no problem, as my mate's uncle ran it!!
