Colin Lippiatt is quoted on the back page of the St Albans Observer to the effect that its 60:40 against Lewes extending the loan of Djoumin Sangare, despite constant negotiations, 24 hours per day, day and night, over the past week or so with his opposite number at Lewes, someoneorother King. [steve? Jimmy?]

 

That will be very disappointing as t'garcon has done very well in the yeller & blue making a formidable partnership with Patrick Ada.

If Colin Lippiatt can't sort things out with Lewes, then I'm sure that I have no influence in the matter, HM.

 

[Mind you. I was once tempted to make a bid for Ryan Moran when he was transfer listed and I would then have 'rented' him back to the club if ever they were looking for a promising centre-back. I don't think that finance is a problem on this occasion, however. Djoumin has made the very foolish mistake of playing rather well during the current loan period and that has not escaped the attention of the powers that be at The Dripping Pan.]

Two other points of note from the SAO:

 

1) The Lewes manager was at Hayes to check on the progress of Sangare and will do doubt have been impressed with what he saw.

 

2) CL has been in touch with a couple of League clubs for a loan replacement should Sangare be recalled.

I think he will be missed sorely as he works extremely well with Ada. Lets hope Lord Lippiat can sort somthing out.

Not strictly true. I heard Steve King was down the road at the Bognor game last Saturday and it was Stuart Cash that was at Hayes, though nobody seems to have seen him either.

There was, indeed, another bro on the bench on Saturday, A.[nthony?] Browne who, I believe is another centre back and is on either forms or a loan signing, formerly with Hayes.

Adrian Browne – Signed for the Saints in September having left Hayes at the end of last season. A defender who, prior to Hayes, has spent all his career playing in the Isthmian League for the likes of Wokingham Town, Windsor & Eton, Cheshunt and Slough Town.
