Canvey Island to win the Conference or an England World Cup win?

Given that tonight the England team face the might of Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, I got to thinking that given that most people (apparently) would prefer success for their clubs than success for the England team, what would supporters prefer?

 

1. Canvey to win the Conference and go up into the Football League?

 

2. Sven's boys lift the World Cup in Germany next year?

Is anybody under any doubt that people like Sam Alladyce or Curbishley could not not do the job far beeter now than Sven and at a fraction of his wages? He has got to go for sure - thing is, the FA cannot afford to sack him.

And the next in a long list of uninspiring performances from our National team, regardless of the results. Watching England has become like a chore, and that really is a sad state of affairs.

england havnt played an exciting game of footy for ages.. it really is tiresome to watch..

in the good old the days a crowd in apub would be riveted to the box, now most people are chatting and not even watching after 15 mins..

when you get statements like 'we played with great patcience' you know we are fked.. this is england!!!.. fk all that pansy faffing around in our own half.. my version of patcience is having to wait 15 mins for a goal after we have bombarded jonny foriegner, had two of our own team carried off broken from trying so hard and the manager on the touchline screaming at beckham to stop being a mincing poof and fking tackle someone for a change

England to win the world cup is my choice. ... only got back from Belfast yesterday and what a great trip it was. ... these results happen and granted we're not playing very well at moment but come the time (9 months today), the whole nation will be behind us again and I'm sure we'll give the top nations a run for their money. ... referring back to my earlier comment of "great trip" ... the Irish folk were brilliant with us English travellers, before and after the game. ... the atmosphere in the pubs for the 8 or so hours before the game was second to none, ... hence my thursday morning headache has only just gone.

COME ON ENGLAND, ... you can do it.

tomorrow though, off with the England shirt and on with the Canvey one. ... will be at Crawley cheering on the lads.

Yeah, i love Northern Ireland,great supporters, and they are the only home nation to support England at any competition we compete in.

The only home nation bar England that I follow as well. I still rmembered that wonderful night when they beat Spain in Spain in the 1982 World Cup it felt as good as any England victory.
