Collingwood or Anderson?

Which one would you go for?

 

Anderson-fast bowler and would step straight into Jones' role

Collingwood-bowler and he can bat and so would give more batting options

 

I personally would go for Anderson and we play the same attacking style that has been rattling the Aussies the last three tests

Even though I'm a Lancashire fan, I'd go the other way to you Barca and get Collingwood in.

 

He's well in form with the bat, and in all honesty I reckon he could bowl 10/12 tidy overs in a day (doubt the 4th seamer would need to bowl more than that anyway), and hopefully score some runs.

 

If Anderson plays, I think the Aussies will get after him and he'll end being spanked and not bowling many overs like in South Africa when he was picked ahead of Jones for one of the Tests in the winter.

 

I reckon he will come good, but I wouldn't risk him tomorrow.

Yep, its Collingwood in for Jones. As long as we get the win or draw, who cares who is playing.

It would be lovely to win the series 3-1, but if someone offered me five days of rain now, I'd take it!

 

Don't get me wrong - I'd rather win the thing in a blaze of glory, but I think the Aussies will be really fired up.
