No Fans, No Atmosphere, No Hope?

you shouldnt rely on one person to lead the singing, others were doing a good job while bfr was away, so we need them to step up more

is there a way we can advertise each game as it comes as well as publishing fixture lists?

It's good to have discussions like this.

Regarding the 'no fans' bit, there were quite a few of us who thought the crowd would be lower than it was, with at least one saying it might not even make 200. But it is indeed worrying when 248 is considered (by some) to be a fairly good result for a Tuesday night. This needs to be a serious issue raised and discussed at Trust meetings IMO.

About singing. I will freely admit that I never start songs off. I feel that my voice is not loud enough. But I make an effort to join in with every chant if those around me are doing the same. Sadly that's not many people, especially with midweek games, and it's been falling through the years. I also realise that it can't just be left up to one man (BFR) to start things off (but occasionally Radders and Marcus). I have to admit I don't know what the solution is, as you can't force people to stand behind the goal and sing. Any suggestions anyone?

you could always put the lyrics in the programme, and tell people how much it helps spur on the team,

or alternatively you could record the songs and play with a stereo behind the goal

First idea - yes. I do hope you're joking with the second one though. Thing is, I'm not terribly sure you are.

Saturday - I sang for a bit, then got too hot so didn't much.

Today - I've been out of sorts for a number of reasons which I don't really want to go into. The knock on effect was I wasn't in the mood for singing or shouting much tonight. End of story. I know I usually rally the troops but tonight wasn't an evening when I did that. Hopefully business as usual on Saturday

I feel that the 6 points we've taken in our last two games might make a bit of a difference. With any luck, we should see a marked improvement in the attendance on Saturday. Obviously today's game was a midweek one, but you see what I mean.
